Anheuser-Busch Announces Staffing Shake-Up after Dylan Mulvaney Controversy

As I said in another thread on this... once any business decides to get into the political space, no matter the intention or perception of severity, the public is going to respond. That is as well may be a mild response to something more substantial, like marketing VP departures, but regardless once a business decides to make a political point odds are that business is forever in the political space now.

This was a very stupid thing to do, and while other businesses may escape much consequence for doing something similar clearly Anheuser-Busch has some work to do as a few over there forgot who their target audience is.

Jesus Christ. This country is going to hell in a hand basket.
Why? People like what they like.

People like to drink Bud Light... I think that it is terrible beer... but I am not drinking it so it doesn't affect me.

So... people consuming the entertainment that they want is of no harm to me as long as that entertainment is not promoting hate.

Is Bud Light's target audience thin skinned morons who take offense if there is an ad buy that isn't specifically targeted at them?

One of the oldest tricks in the book is to announce that you fired some people to pacify whoever's angry.

It's not good for the people who get fired but it's definitely good for the corporation.

WIll the customers return is the question

I hope they don't

the left is very good at boycotting and using their consumer powers to force companies to do things to cater to them ..... about time conservatives figure that out too

Is Bud Light's target audience thin skinned morons who take offense if there is an ad buy that isn't specifically targeted at them?

Does not matter what your, or my, opinion of their target audience is. The reality is they saw a consequence and made a relatively immediate change.

Call Anheuser-Busch, or me, or anyone else, whatever you must but the backlash was fairly pronounced.

As I said... who saw that there would be that amount of thin skinned morons out there?

When a company makes a HUGE change in it's advertising policies and go from Americana type ads to what they changed to, they have to expect their buying public to react

How they react, how dramatically they react, that was the big question

I dont think AN-Bev thought they would suffer the rash of sales declines they have had

This has to do with business.....not politics

An-Bev is in business to sell beer.....Busch, Bud, Bud Lite, Michelob, and so many others

They are not in business to change the world on how it views the LGBTQ community

No company i know is....nor should be imo

The women can't play football, what if they're better at it than the men? Too scary.

Better that they remain on the sidelines providing giggles and jiggles, and ready to be grabbed by the ***** at halftime.
Yes that’s why women don’t play football.

Struggling with reality huh?

Who has made trans issues political?

Almost every company has a pro LGBTQ ad campaign because believe or not... hate doesn't move product so good.

What they did was what tons of companies do in the social media market... they pay an influencer to hawk their product to their audience. It is way cheaper than a conventional ad buy. What I don't think that they saw coming was all of the butt hurt from thin skinned morons who go through life thinking that if something isn't directly marketed to them then it must be against them.

There is enough crappy beer to go around for all people.

Not nearly so much as some MAGAs do with their insecurities.
Your post makes this seem unlikely.

But claiming to be better that MAGAs isn’t much of an accomplishment.

Going woke for a private corporation is risky by any measure.

Apparently the decision to abandon their market to appeal to the trans community isnt yielding the profits they hoped to find.

It’s not good enough. Auron Macintyre was talking about this on his show and brings up That when the left bullies companies they get money for their causes and employment for their supporters. The pressure on bud should be kept up. Don’t buy Budweiser until they financially back groups and politicians actively opposing trans agenda.

They need to have to explicitly say that this agenda they were platforming by having Mulvaney was wrong

"Ads will be cancelled"

It was a one time ad buy with a social media influencer.
No it wasn't.

It was a national ad campaign by a VP of Marketing who on the record said she wanted to "transform the brand".

Its becoming more of one everyday as right-wing state governments work to erase them as a people.
The left basically invented the so called “trans” as a people like 15 years ago and now they’re calling society as it existed 15 years ago genocide. It’s hilarious

If those that are boycotting Anheiser Busch are serious then they should NEVER go back to their product. You dont win wars by celebrating skirmish victories. Invariably...people get called out for stupid things they do usually only apologize because they got caught...not because they regret their actions.

Besides...its 'beer'. Its not like there is a shortage of them to choose from.

We can demand they partner with the Daily Wire and finance the Matt Walsh show and not just issue an apology
