Not thrilled about the clearly partisan rhetoric, but the underlying message is important and worthy of discussion.

More libs who care about the "little guy". Typical.....

I'm not an american so my geography may not be perfect but isn't like, Fergusson... in... Missouri?
Why are people protesting in California? I mean, why are they protesting in California in the morning on route? Has California bought Missouri yesterday and it is now a California problem?

I just don't understand the logic. It makes no sense. And what did those people who were trying to go to work do? Why are they blocked? were they going to Fergusson? Isn't Missouri like, far away from california?

I don't understand.
The logic
ffffssadaggga

Makes no sense. What the hell is going on? Are those people stupid?

Why are people protesting in California?

Race hustlers have seen to it that the protests over the verdict are nationwide.

These twaddles even tried to interfere with the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade in NYC. The NYPD put a stop to that.

Too true...

Humans will advocate and agitate to put other humans in jail.

What did you consider to be the partisan rhetoric?

More protesters have been arrested (338) by the LAPD than in Ferguson. And the LAPD used rubber bullets Tuesday night.

Most of these protesters in L.A. and in San Diego are progressive liberal white kids.

The incident in the OP happened around La Jolla next to UCSD. The protesters have been indoctrinated by their liberal professors and I wonder who issued the marching orders.

In Los Angeles I recognized some of the same faces I see at the pro amnesty demonstrations, socialist, Marxist, anarchist, etc. Basically your usual leftist trouble makers. They don't give a **** about some dead punk who robbed a liquor store a thousand miles from L.A.

More than 300 arrested in Los Angeles during Ferguson protests - World Socialist Web Site

Because some Leftist anti-american filled those kids with lies.

(sarcasm on) Well my friend, apparently, every single precinct of every single county, city, state, and federal law enforcement entity throughout the over 17,900 various police forces in the US are full of racist, quick triggered, white good old boys that just can't wait to shoot a black guy in the head for nothing more than being a great guy headed to college soon, playing with what they should instinctively know is a toy gun, or any other various totally innocent thing that they should just know is innocent. Cops are really nothing more than a bunch of KKK members in blue uniforms after all. So if a cop in Missouri shoots a totally innocent black guy just for being black, that must mean that every cop in California is just itching to do the same. Can't be out done by some hayseed in Missouri after all. (sarcasm off).

The irony is that while the protestors think they are on the right side in this case, in reality Brown was no angel, and was in the wrong.

In all honesty, the saddest part of all of this is that Michael Brown's life is nothing more than a political talking point now. Sure he was wrong and brought his death upon himself. He's still dead and left behind a family that loved him. I know the stepdad said some stupid things when it was announced that Wilson wouldn't be prosecuted. At least he was there and showed he gave a crap about him. At least his biological father was as well.
It sucks for Wilson as well. His career is over. His life as he knew it is over. These guys do not become cops for the pay. They do it because they want to serve. Now that's taken from him AND his wife who is also a LEO. She couldn't possibly be a cop in Ferguson anymore now that it's public knowledge that he married her.

the reported $400+ thousand donated to wilson thru crowdfunding (as of august) will probably help he and his wife get a fresh start elsewhere

Sweet. Good for him

These are the same ****heads that were all over during occupy. Heres the kicker-Im a Paramedic and blocking these major interstates (which leads to all the side streets also being congested can lead to lives lost-and they were willing to do just that. Thugs, thats all they are.

I saw that last night, they say its something like only 10% of professors identify themselves as conservatives, and yet the left still presents that as "diverse". Yeah right, most of those conservatives are in the sciences and engineering.

I've been watching the local news, I see the same faces. OWS, A*N*S*W*E*R Coalition, Party for Socialism and Liberation, MEChA, and even a few SEIU community organizer types. You see the same faces every May 1st in L.A. and at every demonstration where illegal aliens are demanding amnesty and citizenship while waving the Mexican flag.

Same dissidents, different day.

What pisses me off is that the local news, KABC, K-Cal, KNBC, KCBS, KTLA all know who these people are because they have been giving them coverage for years and they don't point out to their viewers who they are.

LAPD's Chief of Police, Charley Beck knows who they are but he's a progressive police chief. It's all about politics.

As of last night, 380 of these leftist agitators have been arrested just with in the city limits of L.A.

How many have been arrested in Ferguson ? Less than a hundred ?

Or course not, that would paint these "protesters" in a bad light and they can't have that.

All hail Fox news! Dude Rightists are just as anti-American as Leftists.

The most disturbing isn't the university professors who are pushing their political agendas and biases, rather than teaching. You figure that college students being a bit older should have the life experiences to detect that bull ****, and pretty well ignore it, but speaking to some of them, sometimes you wonder.

What's worse is the same liberal / leftist agenda getting pushed onto high schoolers, junior high schools and younger. These young souls clearly don't have the life experiences nor the maturity to call bull **** on their teachers. Typically upset parents have to, and good to know, that more and more of them are.

Blacks (and a few whites) are protesting in different cities, focusing on blocking highways and roads, and trying to shut down malls during holiday shopping. Just like Al Qaeda targeted any and all westerners for the actions of the U.S. government. In other words, they are behaving more like terrorists than peaceful protestors. The agitators, like terrorists, seek to punish innocent civilians for the actions of others, for a supposed cause. That is terrorism, by my definition.

They blocked a highway in my city for about an hour before the police could disperse them. They marched downtown the next day, trying to block traffic. Now the marchers have some "right to carry" far righters starting to follow them around, carrying rifles or shotguns. Can you say powderkeg?

This a comment on protests in general, not this particular incident.

I am on the left and I do not support violent protest. I support non-violent protest and civil disobedience that is well-targetted. The goal should be to demonstrate that your side is the side that supports freedom, justice and peace for all.

Intentionally keeping ordinary people from going about their business freely is not non-violent protest. When people are stuck in traffic or on public transportation for a long period of time because protesters have intentionally blocked the streets, it is a form of kidnapping. Residual, unintended effects from a large protest (such as traffic backups) are not immoral, but intentionally causing harm to ordinary people is violence against innocent people. Wasting a significant amount of a person's time is causing harm. Not only is it wrong, it is not helpful for the cause being promoted.

Looting is even worse, it is nothing but greedy people taking advantage of an opportunity. Most destruction and violence is similar, I have seen who does it, and it is a handful of violent and destructive boys and young men taking advantage of the opportunity to act out their violent desires.

That said, one should not let the jerks who arrogantly and/or opportunistically highjack a particular protest distract from the original message of the majority of protesters who are peaceful and respectful of their community. We should also speak out when media coverage only focuses on the few jerks who act out and ignores the thousands of peaceful protesters.

Its a bunch of socialist freaks trying to indoctrinate the youth of America.

I disagree that the average college student has anywhere near the life experience needed to discern reality from idealistic fantasy.
