I got to thinking, reading through the political comments, one has to notice how ANGRY some people get when their favorite hero is attacked, or when they only see ONE side of an issue, therefore need to lash out.

I would hope most of us on here, come here for debate, maybe a bit of joviality, or to pass the time of day.

But when we see people getting worked up over disagreements, I wonder what would be the best remedy.

unless she is your woman, or a willing partner, depends on YOUR interpretation.
 
I use all of those techniques and others when anger evolves to rage.
I also am entitled to my genuine emotions regardless.

OTOH, using aggressive language and posturing to release personal stress or to respond to injurious insult or perceived threat, etc., could be considered a psychological safety valve. Blowing off steam can be most efficacious, as we all know.
 
I don't really get angry... and when I do it is for a second or two then gone... I don't have the energy to waste getting or staying angry.

Isn't all sex basically selfish... I mean, you (we/us/people) want it so you do it.

It's selfish only if your partner doesn't derive the same amount of pleasure from it. So, I'm guessing, in your case, it is just using someone for selfish reasons.

DITTO, but you no doubt have been subjected to some of the angry vitriol from one side of the political spectrum since it is usually their go-to reaction to anything negative

There have been some strong reactions to some of what I post here but its hard to tell if it’s actual anger. For me that requires a more personal interaction-unless language is used that is forbidden here.

Calling someone a moron or a fool here will get you moderator provided demerits, and rightfully so. Haven’t had that happen so far, though one poster let me know she thought i was full of....well, you know. Getting angry on an anonymous Internet forum isn’t going to help anything-and we should all be in control of such emotions as we are all adults here.
 
WELL if by "we" you mean you and me, I agree, but I have seen some pretty unadultlike conversations.
 
1st choice on the list for me. I only come on here once in a while anyway because I see no need to constantly glare at a screen all day outside of work like some people do.
