So the judiciary committee has begun their hearings, and the Republicans are doing nothing but making fools of themselves and trying every trick in the book to obstruct this procedure...
 
Just a repeat of the last hearings. They have absolutely nothing, so it's all about yelling, being petulant, and pulling stunts.

The smart play is to drag this out as long as possible to have the Senate trial right as Durham’s report drops, revealing many other witnesses that can be called. Schiff’s “system” is so unfair, he will totally lose the narrative through the first quarter of 2020 when the democrats are still groping around for leadership.

100% FACT. Republicans will spend the entire hearing interrupting. They are determined to obstruct Congress from within Congress. The whole lot of them are corrupt bums who are begging for an authoritarian.
 

I think it is cool that you think Durham's report is going to matter here. Barr is already out ahead of the IG report stating he doesn't agree with it. My guess is that Durham's report is going to land like a lead balloon.
 
I tuned in just in time to hear the first guy lead with his conclusion: IMPEACH TRUMP!!!

That told me all I need to know about this circus performance.

These republicans aren't there to do anything but to glory and favor seek with The Donald. That's it. They've enabled this madness, and have created a monstrosity of theocratic, social conservative, Qanon morons who will now kick them out of office if they even DARE to wipe some of the stench of Trump off themselves.

They did this to themselves. I do not pity them, or the vile constituency they "serve" (manipulate.)

I agree, for the short amount of time I've been listening to this, the republicans are just close-minded, angry, disruptive, repeating their false talking points and acting like ignorant spoiled brats, much like the manchild they are trying to save from justice.

When I had some respect for republicans, I was under the impression that they were for the country, the constitution and the rule of law. Having witnessed their behaviors and refusal to hear the truth and take off their blinders for a day, has made any respect I did have dwindle.

Very telling how they will sell their souls and all self-respect to defend an illiterate bully who is causing great damage to the United States, its people and our allies. The republicans have no shame or conscience, they are truly pathetic. When I say republicans, I do not include those of that party who have seen what this president is doing and reject it and him. Those people are still members of the Republican Party not the dictatorship of the Trump Party. Thank goodness some of them have matured into adults.
 
I thought Republicans had reached the bottom under Bush. Turns out that was their best. We're now into the bottomless abyss where crimes and corruption are unchecked and uncheckable and facts are utterly meaningless. Here's the real problem: Every single Republican and Trump supporter KNOWS it, and they love it. They love the madness. They want a dictator. They are begging to be ruled and to give absolute power to Trump, a la Erdogan.

Don't pretend they don't. It's not a believable argument.

Stanford University law professor Pamela Karlan was incredible. She was not about to take any crap from Doug Collins. I cheered out loud when she smacked him down. He was very tempted to talk back to her, you could see him about to jump into one of his tirades but he looked straight at her and in his mind you could see it click "holy ****, she means it", and he backed right down.:lamo
 
Law professors all agree on every aspect of why Trump should be impeached based on all the evidence on record to-date.
Republicans don't care, they are happy to tear it all down if they hurt Democrats (and the nation, and themselves).

Nothing new, but certainly interesting to hear from law professors about what impeachment means and why its so important.

Fox will probably be talking about Hillary's emails and Hunter Biden...you know...grave concerns to the nation.
