"Ten... nine... eight... we have a go for main engine start... five... four... three... two... one... booster ignition and liftoff of the Space Shuttle Discovery, lighting up the night-time sky as we continue building the International Space Station."

I have now a question for everybody, does anybody know who Christer Fuglesang is?
I want to know how many except Swed's that has a knowledge of him, because he is supposed to "put Sweden on the map". And now Ive wonder if he succeed?!

According to wikipedia, he is actually Canadian now.

I saw an interview on The Discovery Channel with him last week.
Had to look him up.

The name didn't ring a bell.

Where does it say that? I see "Nationality Swedish" and didn't see anything about Canada.

I've heard of him, but just because i was reading about the crew earlier.

Ehm, Fuglesang is that swedish chump who they're sending / sent up to space, together with loads of other nationalitys. Don't really know if there's a french guy with the squad haven't really looked into it very much although just googled Fuglesang. But I do hope for a nice trip to space, and that they get out of there in one piece.
"Put sweden on the map" Sweden has a pretty good relationship with the rest of the world, although the greatness of their nation went away during middleages.

But do you think Sweden really has a good relationship with the rest of the world? what I´ve heard people have very big problems separating Sweden from Switzerland ?

You got it all wrong, what I meant was that Sweden as a country are having a good relationship with most countries and have always had. ALTHOUGH, there's always the "Personal knowledge" of people who doesn't know squat. Let's say that a truck driver from Canada heard the names Sweden and Switzerland. OK maybe he can't separate them, but that has hardly anything to do with the countries relationships to eachother ;)

ooh.. okey!
yeah Sweden are surely having good relationships with countries and so on..
but it would be nice that people have a knowledge of Sweden not as "the country with polarbeers and naked blond chicks everywhere!"

Couldn't agree more to be completly fair, that's just pure steriotype by the people who think that way. In my opinion I don't realy think that so many actually do belive that but they've so little knowledge of the world around them that they only belive what they hear from distant gossips. It's really up to the schools and teachers around the world to teach their kids that all people in all countries are equal and no bullshit polarbear or naked blondes etc.
