Let me start of with saying i didnt know were to put this topic. Anyway, I have a question. How come Muslims are treated so terrible by our own goverment? If you look at Muslims in America we have little to no crime rate and are all middle class with great education yet we are treated like crap when going on flights? :shock:

I do not think Americans hate Muslims.It is that it makes no sense to search 90 year old grandmas from China when they do not fit the profile of potential terrorist.

SOme Americans are under the impression that alot of muslims support terrorist in the ME,when someone draws some cartoons poking fun at Mohammed,Muslims riot and threaten lives,when planes flew into buildings muslims cheered,when contractors where burned tortured and hanged muslims cheered,when newsweek prints a bogus story to undermine our troops muslims riot.A few muslims speak out against these terrorist but mostly it seems every muslims is silent.There is no huge or even a small "do not bastardize Isalm" protest or there is no huge or even small "we are sick of scum hijacking our religion" protest.As far as we know there is no huge or real effort in getting ride of the imams and mullahs who preach death to infidel and jew as a effort to curd terrorist..

You bring up a very good point. Because this is exactly what many people around the world see in us, as our government undertakes American aggression (with our military) around the world, in OUR name, while we sit back and do nothing about it.

Please, I've had my luggage searched tons of times and I'm a young, white female. It's standard operating procedure. The difference is that I don't turn it into some sort of "everyone's out to get the young, white, females" crusade.

Have you looked at other postings by this person, though, Caine? Hmmm? I have seen plenty of them, and they are filled with bigotry. I will certainly give you the benefit of the doubt here by assuming you haven't read too many postings by this person, but you should really take the time to familiarize yourself with his pattern of postings before jumping down my throat.

As to the relevance, I would think it obvious, but I will explain it to you, anyway. He made an assertion as to the superiority of Muslim educational levels, did he not? If such education is really so exemplary, wouldn't his own writing indicate a proficiency with the language much greater than that which he displays?

For a person who cries about bigotry, his pattern of postings is certainly geared towads fostering such, and for a person who touts his level of education, he lacks basic literacy skills. The latter is of little consequence except for the fact that HE made an issue of education, in which case his postings stand in stark contrast to his assertions since he has been raised in the United States rather than having learned English as a second language. Had he spoken English as a second language, his lack of literacy would not necessarily indicate a lack of education, and in fact might help substantiate such claims, so the question of whether or not he is an English speaker is relevent to the issue he raised in terms of education.

I have flown a pretty good bit. I was on a plane to Chicago the second day after they restarted flights after 9/11. And I can honestly say I have never seen an arab stopped and searched. I have seen young white woman and old white woman. I have sene the occasional black couple. I have been searched repeatedly going on flights...coming and going.. BUt I have never seen what your trying to claim as being a problem. If anything they avoid you like the plauge because they don't want the _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ getting mad and complaining. And god knows if over the last 2 decade 99% of terrorist attacks were from muslims. There would still be absolutley no reason that wary eye should be cast upon them :roll:

When some animal bombs a womans clinic they look at white christian males probably... Not because it's cool. But because there is a track record of things like this for them to go on. But thats not allowed in many other cases, because it is then called profiling or racisim

You're missing his point, perhaps intentionally. They search everyone, it's random, like a lottery. Unless you have some sort of proof that Muslims are deliberately targeted, you have no point.

Ya they search alot of people and if it had been Japanese people or Mexicans or any other people who flew planes into buildings they would be being searched disproportionally too, every new immigrant segment has been discriminated against in this country from the Irish to the Japanese but in time they all assimilated and became accepted so my only advice is to suck it up because this too will pass.

My dad. Everytime on a flight they do it. Its not like he is gona go to the media about it he just complains to me lol.
