Actually, there has been an all-points-bulletin Amber alert for Harry Reid as well as for Nancy Pelosi. These two Democratic leaders have simply taken to hiding out until after the Nov 7th elections.
Up until today the Democrats hadn't been exercising their only election strategy of calling for an immediate troop withdrawl from Iraq. When was the last time you heard John Murtha or any other Democratic operative call for the immediate withdrawl, or to bash Bush for his failure on the war efforts? The fact is that these democrats realize that the majority of American people aren't buying their doom and gloom rhetoric anymore.
Sure would like to see the chagrin on Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid's face when they first saw John Kerry giving his vicious attack on Bush's war efforts and strategies on Monday. Kerry couldn't have planted his foot further into his mouth if he had tried. Kerry's faux pas helped rally the Republican base together to mount an all out assault on the Democrat's weak position on defense. I just love this stuff. Only problem here is that Kerry's mouth just about ensured that he won't be the Democratic nominee come 06. That is ashamed, because we Republicans just love it when a Northeast liberal elitist runs for president. Makes our party all the more stronger...doncha know!
