I wasn't sure where to write this post, but here seemed as good as any! I'm 16, and I still have a lot to learn about the world and politics, etc. My parents are both politically active Liberals/Independent and I respect them for this. My parents and I are a lot different in MANY aspects, but here I share their views.
I live in Stuarts Draft (home of the largest open cowfield and redneck population), Virginia, and sadly to say, there's not a lot of inspirational left-wing politics around the area. There is some, I will congratulate the few. My mom even attends a "church" that discusses politics, etc. It just seems so strange, almost funny to me, how out of all the people I've met, the most amazing and loved are those with open minds and liberal views. Take these two teachers at my school. Almost every student I know adores them, they are two amazing, open minded people. The students agree with them in almost everything, but when it comes to political views, they decide to shut their eyes and scoff.
The world is such an odd place.
