How can we keep the 8 year old Syrian safe if we don't weed out the very people he is escaping from?So you want to make it illegal to abort a fetus that poses a serious risk to the life of the Mother, but...
You want it to be illegal for an 8 year old Syrian who is in grave danger to come to the United States because it poses a risk to the American people?
When you look at the minuscule risk Syrian refugees pose and compare that to the amount of life allowing them to come would save, you can see this is based on xenophobia and not safety.

I don't think it is a very popular opinion, even among pro-life people, to make it illegal to abort a fetus in which the mother has life threatening conditions.... most have an exception for those things.
You know how many 8 year old grave diggers are out there in the world right now? a lot... and you have had no concern for them until now. There is a reason we can't let everyone in that wants to. We would have 1 billion starving and diseased people at our doorstep.
HELP THEM WHERE THEY ARE!!!! You will do more good in the long run, instead of just saving face as if you made a difference in the world. Most of the "refugees" that end up making it to the first world countries are the rich, the connected, and the lucky. The ones in need of the most help don't even have the opertunity to make it here... they can't, they are stuck.
this is one of the worst case of virtue signaling this nation has ever had.

Nobody is asking to let everyone in. Trump however has banned a huge group which includes many very good people. The group includes good people who had secured benefactor Churches here in America that were planning on assisting them to find a new life here.
Why is the risk from a refugee different from poisonous Tylenol or Listeria with Pilgrim's Pride Meat or Blue Bell? How is it different from a Dell battery that explodes on a plane? Different from an air bag that can cause death? Or an accelerator that may get stuck on a Toyota?
All of those resulted in recalls or "bans" for public health reasons.
If I handed you a bag of 1000 M&Ms and told you one of them was toxic and likely to kill you, I doubt you would eat a single one.
