So it seems judges were able to say it was time for Alina to go bye-bye. They replaced her with the 2nd in command.

Now Pam Bondi has fired the replacement.

Just another shit show diversion and continued bullying of people that get in their way (the courts this time).

Actually, it's not funny. It's scary. Habba is grossly incompetent and totally unqualified. The judiciary committee hasn't even scheduled hearings on her nomination. She's been abysmal and inappropriate in the interim, and the firing of the deputy Habba actually selected is an unconstitutional abuse at the highest level. It has to be stopped.

I'm often saddened by the actions of that thoroughly corrupt body that I spent my career revering.
 
So "rogue judges" when they don't rubber stamp things and "great judges" when they do, sure Pam.
 
Acting under a law that generally limits the terms of interim U.S. attorneys to 120 days, the judges appointed one of Habba's subordinates, Desiree Leigh Grace, as her successor.

But just hours later, Attorney General Pam Bondi announced that she had in turn removed Grace, blaming Habba's removal on “politically minded judges.”


What happens now? Can Bondi fire every US Attorney the judges appoint? Can Trump reinstate Habba as acting US Atty.?
 
18 USC 546 reads:

§546. Vacancies​

(a) Except as provided in subsection (b), the Attorney General may appoint a United States attorney for the district in which the office of United States attorney is vacant.

(b) The Attorney General shall not appoint as United States attorney a person to whose appointment by the President to that office the Senate refused to give advice and consent.

(c) A person appointed as United States attorney under this section may serve until the earlier of-

(1) the qualification of a United States attorney for such district appointed by the President under section 541 of this title; or

(2) the expiration of 120 days after appointment by the Attorney General under this section.

(d) If an appointment expires under subsection (c)(2), the district court for such district may appoint a United States attorney to serve until the vacancy is filled. The order of appointment by the court shall be filed with the clerk of the court.

I believe Bondi's order of removal violates the statute and the District of New Jersey should find Bondi in contempt.

The DoJ has become a clown car of corruption and incompetence. If Bondi keeps playing these games, all she's doing is hurting the citizens with a lack of representation. Let's not forget that the U.S. Attorneys work for the people, not the president. They take an oath to the constitution and the people.
 
If only the judges had the spines to go that far. They did their job by applying the law as it was written. I don't see them going the extra step for fear of Trump retaliation.
 

Whenever you see the Trump administration object to something such as this, you know its exactly what they would do.
 
On paper, Bondi should be qualified.
But it appears she lacks some basic knowledge of our system of laws.
At this point, her actions as AG should be investigated and likely impeached.

Habba was wholly unqualified for the position for which trump assigned her. Not unusual in trump world.
She has never been a prosecutor.
Her stated goal in the role was to “turn New Jersey RED”.
Yes, she said so out loud.
So, in addition to being grossly unqualified, she apparently is not very bright.
 
Anyone who has seen even one interview of her can reach that conclusion. She's remarkably moronic.

Politically minded judges, eh Pam? How about looking in the mirror at an absolutely shameless, politically minded Attorney General of the United States?

People like her have zero self-awareness and believe others are just supposed to blindly follow her lead. Try leadership, just for once, Pam, instead of complaining about others who do the same things you do to a much lesser extent. Good grief…
