Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the voice of an ignorant generation

Sort of true, but they do offer some constructive criticism thus having the MSM say that Trump "follows" Fox News (like they did to know that?). I often flip channels between MSNBC, Fox News and CNN and find more opinion than news on all of them.

IMO, my local news gives me news. Any cable news station will give more opinion and spin than straight reporting.

And your age is what?

An age that is smart enough not to vote for a con man like Donald Trump. Of course, that makes me an anomaly in my demographic. I am rather embarrassed by most of those who are my sex, age, and race. In fact, they are a disgrace to it.

But, I have long ago learned how much smarter I am than the average dodo. Earning engineering degrees tends to drive that point home at an early age.

Trump supporters mocking others as ignorant. :lamo

Want to go back and look what some here said about Bush 43? You weren't here, I was. It was pathetic. So take it on the chin like a man, huh? She is an idiot. Her ideas are stupid, unvetted and not embraced by the party leaders; except maybe her tax ideas since Democrats never dislike taxes.

The fact that she and Rashida "We're going to impeach the mother****er" Tlaib haven't be put on influential committees, is a sign of the party not ready for their crazy ****.

Yeah, we'll be sure to take your advice when the same people stop calling others out for supporting the POTUS...:lamo

There's sort of a big difference between POTUS and a mostly powerless freshman Congresswoman who is at best a single vote on mostly obscure committees. It's roughly like comparing the CEO of Walmart to a store manager for Walmart.

Whose party? Redress's party? My party? Cardboard McLiberal's party?

I wouldn't have had much of an idea who Cortez was but for all the tizzies conservatives have been throwing about a freshman newbie who said a few dumb things but still doesn't amount to anything. And because you're so desperate to tell yourself your squawking is justified, you have to pretend liberals are fawning over her, or supporting her, or whatever the lie of the day is.

Same-old, same-old, just a new boogeywoman to whip out when "but Hillary" tires even you.

And the beautiful thing as far as AOC goes is I'm sure she couldn't be happier with all the attention. I've seen dozens of Tweets about how nice it is that Fox News (and others) are promoting AOC's policies by spreading the ideas far and wide.

The article mentions Medicare for all. Great, let Fox keep promoting it, and an awful lot of Republicans and Democrats will go....huh, mom's on Medicare, it seems to work OK, no politician of either party dares screw with it because it's so popular. What is it we're supposed to be skeered about again?

Same with taxes. Keep hammering 70% rates!! OH NOOOO!!! Make that the bar and going back to 40% won't seem too bad. Maybe eliminate some loopholes. Far cry from the SEVENTY PERCENT those SOCIALISTS want!!

It's probably more due to the long standing practice of not putting brand new freshman on powerful committees. It's a place ruled by seniority. Putting any freshman on a powerful committee would be a huge break in how the House has worked for generations now.

Smith is a huge liberal................oh wait, Fox doesn't have any of those, right?

Typical wingnut logic at work, here.

You have no flipping idea if he's a liberal, conservative, or something in-between.

All you know is that he's one of the few faces at FoxNews who has had the stones to publicly point out LIES that are popular and accepted as "facts" by the FoxNews/Trump crowd. And that, in and of itself, makes him a "huge liberal" to you and your ilk. :lamo

I'll take AOC you have White supremacist Steve King the voice of a racist generation working hard to preserve the White race and "western civilization."

Steve King got his huge rebuke, did you notice? So you don't have that bat to swing anymore. Good luck in the future; meanwhile you support an idiot who now will get her tutelage from another idiot (Maxine Waters).

Matthew 15:14 Leave them; they are blind guides. If the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit.

She's with Maxine Waters now, like two peas in a pod.

two questions:
1. when did the majority of millennials vote for AOC as their spokesmodel; and
2. when did the millennials get to vote when other demographics did not

She wasn't the only socialist voted into Congress. It's a trend.

I don't know what Maxine Waters has to do with your ignorance about the basics of how Congress works. Otherwise, good answer!

Waters and Cortez share the same radical and stupid thought patterns. As far as how Congress works, I commented on the seniority system in another post. Nevertheless her recent celebrity apparently helped her.

Your thread title alleges an ignorant "generation". You explicate by pointing to a single human being, a clear sign of ignorance but not of anyone besides yourself.

She may be ignorant but she plans to get things done and isn't whoring for votes to get reelected like the rest of congress that lacks inertia.
Whoring for votes to get reelected was not the vision of the founders of the duties of congresspersons.

Side note: I hated the democratic majorities in both houses during Obama but I had to admire the fire and determination they held which was unlike my GOP counterparts when they held the majorities in both houses during Trump and who couldn't decide on a replacement for ACA nor will for walls, for examples.

Correction: Congress is inert.

Why are right-wingers so surprised that when they encourage the rise of right-wing populism that the left counters with and gives legitimacy to left-wing populism?

i asked two questions
and you ignored both of them when responding to that post

The difference is that you're forcing her message (especially the 70% tax rate message) into the mainstream and making it a legitimate national discussion. Pat yourself on the back.

I believe you have that backwards, it's the mainstream media that is forcing her message on us, if they did not fawn over her every day she would be an unknown.

I might have missed an exception or two, but thus far the AOC brand has been promoted at every turn by people who hate her. She's turning into a rock star and I love it.
