The Alabama Republican Party on Saturday will present former President Donald Trump with a framed copy of a resolution, passed unanimously by the party, that declares him "one of the greatest and most effective" presidents in U.S. history.

"The resolution, basically, it just talks about the greatness of Donald J. Trump, how he made America great again and I hope other states will follow suit," Perry Hooper Jr., a former state representative and a member of the state party’s executive committee, told Fox News in an interview.
Hooper will present a framed copy of the resolution to Trump at a reception at Mar-a-Lago, Florida on Saturday evening.

The resolution, which passed unanimously in the party, calls Trump "one of the greatest and most effective presidents in the 245-year history of this Republic" and lists his achievements in office.

"It’s just recognizing him for all the great things he has done for America for bringing back American manufacturing, cutting taxes, creating best economy ever, building up our military," Hooper said.

Hooper said he was speaking not only for the party, but for many Americans who voted for the 45th president in 2020.

"We love him in Alabama, America loves him and he got 75 million votes for a reason and I'm speaking basically for 75 million people in America," he said.

HILARIOUS!!

Don't they have the money for a golden Trump statue down in Alabama?

One of the great benefits of our republic form of democracy is that we have 50 wonderful opportunities for the legislatures of our states to make fools of themselves. [Ed.: Not to mention the far greater number of individual state congressmen and congresswomen.]

Regards, stay safe 'n well.

Trump was a very good President. I miss his policies.

It will take time before this verdict is generally seen and understood .

And a long , long time for those unable to view and think outside of the Party Politics Box .

I gotta give it to Trump; no idea how he does it but the ability to form such a cult of slavish submission is impressive.
others did it before him, example, one in Germany comes to mind, so don't give him too much credit, he had teachers

“Furthermore he is the greatest golfer to play the game, the handsomest man in America and a magnificent lover.”

better add /s for those simple minded folks who don't get it

Wow, they will do virtually anything to avoid who and what they are.

In order to defend and blindly support a national traitor, one must be a national traitor. To avoid that identity, they abandon all sense of self-respect and exhaust all means to brand the piece of shit the "greatest," thus excusing them and legitimizing their never-ending denial.

People in Alabama loved Andrew Johnson too. People in Alabama were an enemy to the U.S. just prior to Johnson. So what do they care about Trump's attacks on America? Told ya, conservatives never change.

Perhaps one of the biggest public and political displays of ass-kissing possible.

Excellent. Since he was such a great President, I am sure they will funnel all their campaign fund donations through him to manage their elections.

Oh please do elaborate on that one please.

Trump was a very good President. I miss his policies.

His only policy was make himself happy. For him everything was about "me the person" instead of "we the people" as our Constitution demands.

If your idea of "his policies" is helping the American people, you never paid attention to politics during the last five years.
