From Korea to Vietnam, Afghanistan, Central America, much of Africa were all battles in that war. They were just fought by proxy.
These were 'Hot' battles in an otherwise Cold War and they were not all fought "by proxy".
Try not to start world wars. They have a habit of being rather costly, and play merry hell with the lawns.
Well of course. That's what we keep telling Europeans, but to no avail. How can you deal sensibly with a people who boast of having spent decade living under terrorism?
Bollox, propaganda does not stop tanks.
Perhaps not, but it can start them.
A credible deterrant and an uncertainty about the outcome does.
And Europe has a "credible deterrent? What might that be?
