Al Gore smears the US.

I suppose if I have to hold Clinton personally responsible for the Cole, then I'd have to hold Bush personally responsible for 9/11. And so would you.

If Clinton would have done anything after the Kobar Towers bombings, after being briefed that it was Al Qaeda, then maybe the U.s.s. Cole wouldn't have happened. But, as you say - things happen, and you can't fault Clinton, right!?

Ok, next the U.S.S. Cole is bombed by Al Qaeda. there is no response by Clinton again. Able danger is telling him of Al Qaeda's threat and that it will happen again. STILL no reaction, no response.

2 african embassies were bombed by Al Qaeda as well. STILL there was no reaction by Clinton.

The ONLY reaction Clinton EVER had regarding Able Danger - their briefings and warning - was year's later when he denied ever hearing from them and sent Sandy Berger to steal and destroy classified federal documents that pertained to Able danger, what Clinton was briefed, and what he did and did NOT do.

After each bombing, Al Qaeda was emboldened to continue and intensify the attacks. They were confident that Clinton would not respond! You can speculate all you want that if Clinton had done ANYTHING 9-11 may not have happened. ("For evil to triumph, all that needs to happen is for good men to do nothing!")

Clinton even had the chance to take bin laden into custody as he was offered to us after being picked up in another country, AFTER being briefed about his leadership of Al Qaeda and AFTEr the 1st bombing. Bin laden was released because Clinton said he didn't want him - "he's no threat to us!" Yeah, he'd only killed several MILITARY members in the Kobar Towers bombing. It wasn't like they killed 'Americans', right?!

Once, he gets a pass. Twice - maybe. 4 times with no response is an unforgivable trend!

NOW, instead of trying to take down our President in a time of war, instead of calling our troops nazis and terrorists, instead of announcing secret programs designed to fight terrorists, and instead of giving speeches in muslim countries designed to incite violence against this country and against our troops, why don't the Dems try to HELP fight the terrorists instead of the GOP, our troops, and America?!

And if the dog hadn't stopped to ****, he would have caught the rabbit. I'm not too good on Monday morning quarterbacking but I realize to some people it comes natural.

Don't tell me you're one of the "Blame it all on Clinton" people. Those people are just about as credible as the "Blame it all on Bush" people in my opinion.

It will be a great day when Americans can move beyond their blind partisanship and think about America and Americans again.

No, by all means I am not a 'Blame it all on Bill' guy, but you failed to respond to what went on/my post. He was warned about Al Qaeda, about Bin laden, and about MORE attacks. He ignored them - even tried later to destroy the very records that prove he had been briefed on Al Qaeda/Bin Laden. When we caught the enemy's leader after the 1st attack, he let him go. He failed to respond to attacks on the United States again and again, refused to act to defend American's lives. H@ll, I am genuinely doubtful, after his failure to act on those other attacks, if he would have done anything after 9-11 except go runing to the U.N. had he been the president instead of Bush!

There are some things you can not stop. There are some things that re-occur for which action must be taken to prevent from happening again. And, as even the Democrats must admit to now after 9-11, if a bully hits you in the face, there HAS to be some reaction to show the bully that he can not continue to hit you or he WILL continue to prey upon you! Nothing was done, and the bully brought the fight off the 'playground' and right into our 'living room', smacking us where we live, making us afraid in our own home!

What's new?

The Democrats love dragging the Republicans through the mud as they accuse them of destroying our country while they continually undermine efforts and encourage our enemies.

Same crap, different Democrat.

I'm glad I vote pro-military.

Yep, and all terrorists are Arabs.

Just the one's we are concerned about. What do we care about the IRA? Throwing in smoke to confuse a focused subject is not good debating. It's called skirting issues. The man talks about terrorists, knowing full well what he speaks of, and you reply with smoke and a pretended confusion.

Let me guess, when debating on the overwhelming appearance of Radical Islam and their behaviors, your smokescreen here is to throw in McVeigh or Salem Witch burnings?

As far as profiling, I heard it best said, "Not all Muslims are terrorists, but, so far, almost all terrorists have been Muslim!" If I am an airport screener, I am not going to spend as much time on a petite, pale-skinned flaming red headed woman as I would a Muslim passengers. Sorry! If I am looking for a German Shepherd carrying an Uzi, I am not gonna waste my time frisking the Chi-Hua-Huas! :rofl

Oh, har har. Have your laughs now, because after November, you won't get 'em anymore.

Then when Bush laughs next, they can IMPEACH! IMPEACH! IMPEACH! IMPEACH!!!

Sorry, I just can't help myself... lol

^^^You know, it's hard for me to figure out when conservatives are playing stupid, because they do it so often, but I think that's a sarcastic comment.

After the Democrats gain seat after Congressional seat in November, know you heard it from me.

OK, all your "IMPEACH!!" talk is getting overly hypocritical. Can you remember back to Clinton? Do you remember the same "IMPEACH!! IMPEACH!!" chanting coming from the Republican Party? Or are you one of those people with selective memory?

Too funny dude. I love it!!

By the way, I was a BIG Reagan fan. I still am. (oh no....get ready for the mud to start flying my way! )

I am a man without a party. It ain't easy being me. I catch hell from both directions.

Ahh. Ronald Reagan.

To learn about the man recently crowned "Greatest American" (I think this summer), read the excellent documentary of a book The Clothes Have No Emperor.

Reaganburch is my name, sarcasm is my game....

I'm a Reagan Republican, although my first election I could vote in was 1988(was 16 in 1984)... sometimes it's hard to defend this Bush Administration, especially domestically(he spends worse than a drunken sailor on leave - A Reaganism I believe). He said before he came into office, he wanted his administration to be closer to Reagan than his Dad... I'm not sure it's close to either...

I catch mud all the time, it doesn't bother me... I love it, actually...

Oh yeah - right! Let's review the Democrat's Record that will earn them more seats:

- Obstructionist politics...
- Calling our troops terrorists....
- Equating our troops to nazis and genocidal regimists....
- Dean saying the ar is un-winnable, that we should just surrender now/abandon allies...
- Dean endorsing a member of the Socialist Party for Senate...
- Making Alito's WIFE cry through personal attacks....
- Using a Eulogies/funerals for platforms to launch political attacks...
- the EX-Vice president taking bribes from a muslim country to travel to that foreign country to give a speech designed to incite violence against Americans and our soldiers...
- trying to take down a President during a time of war...
- Exposing a secret program designed to fight terrorism, thus making this country LESS safe..

Impressive track record! I wonder how mnany MORE seats the GOP will pick up?!

Certainly. Thanks for the request.

I vote for candidates who support my freedoms. Such as my privacy (which is violated by the Patriot Act, wiretapping, etc.) and my freedom of speech (which is being suppressed by many conservatives here "CAN'T BE ANTI-GOVERNMENT DURING WAR!!!).

Those candidates are, 99% of the time, Democrats. A guy lke McCain would be an exception.

Do you believe that we are in a war on terrorism and that there are terrorists out there that want to kill you and me?

Do you believe like many liberals that the war on terror should be handled in a more sensitive way and as John Kerry believes a police action?

So in November if the Democrats start taking seats.....our government will turn its back on military?
