Don't know, Don't care, and have no desire to find out anything more about it.

Unless.....I wonder if I could buy it if it gets down to around $425.00? I could have my own radio network then....might be fun.

News this morning is that they are planning a bankruptcy auction.
 
There hasn't been a successful liberal talk show host to date, so the fact that they went under is no surprise. When the entire liberal mindset is bereft of political ideas and solutions to everyday problems, its no surprise that guys like Al Frankenstein opt to try their luck in running for the senate. Look, Minnesota has had its share of offbeat politicians. Look at Jessie Ventura.
 
I suppose so. Lets call it even. The liberals cant do talk shows where they listen to only their own opinion and the conservatives cant do funny.

Are you kidding? Every listen to Boortz or Inghram, heck even Limbaugh can be hilarious.
 
Well the new owners have probably made the best move they could and that is to put Ed Shultz on their network. The afternoon slot. Now if they'd just replace the bimboo that follows him...............
 
Air America will be just another country or pop station within a month. Al Franken will dump his newest campaign before the people of Minnesota go to the polls. And Jeanean Garofollo will continue to be not funny.

Actually yes I have listened to these guys, but I wasnt aware they were trying to make you laugh.
 
Most liberals I know don't listen to the radio for anything other than music. They prefere to get their information from books or creditable online sources.

Unlike conservatives, which tout Rush Limbaugh rhetoric to the end.

***How right you are, most liberals don't have the capacity to listen to common sense and political facts via the radio. Rush delivers more meaningful content in his program's first ten minutes..then does the entire liberal media during a week's time table. You need to listen to Rush when he has an occasional liberal caller. Rush eats them alive! Bill O'Reilly created the 'no spin zone' to counter the liberal's constant spin and lying. You do remember Paul Begala and James Carville as they spun their way to fame.
 
Conservatives are a funny breed. They seem to need opinionaters on radio and TV to tell them how to debate and what to think.

If Rush and Bill are so good against Liberals then why dont they go on a public platform and debate with the Libs without loosing their temper?

In fact Ive tried to see Rush in debate outwith his own show but so far have failed.
All I can find is Rush vs Michael J Fox ( that was soooo inspiring wasnt it?!:2razz: )Any ideas?

Bill O'Reilly has already lost the plot a number of times, even on his own show ( remember Jeremy Glick ).

Plus it seems that these two are consistently caught out as liars of the first order.

Liberals are the more funny breed when they attempt to transpose thier inability to form their thoughts to conservatives.

Conservatives OWN talk radio, because people who are working with their hands can still listen.

People who work with their hands earn money, which they wish to CONSERVE.

Talk radio is OWNED by the right, because the right is working while they listen.

So, working america is conservative, who could have guessed ?

How ridiculous is your post? Working America is made up of everyone and every type of political leaning...anyone who believes otherwise is living in a bubble...or is it "living in a right wing radio propaganda bubble"?
 
One the funny side of things I suppose Conservatism and humour/ satire dont really go together. Why? because satire for example, exists to put light on muckiness and lies of the powerful, to hold up to mockery the follies of the powerful and expose the hypocrisy in a way that entertains us. However, you cant be subversive and want to preserve the status quo.

Even jokes aimed at themselves dont work. Anyone see the trailer for the 'Half Hour News Hour' on Fox? There's RL and Ann Coulter as Pres and Vice Pres. "Stay tuned for the Half Hour News Hour" says RL, to which AC adds "if you dont we'll invade your countries, kill your leaders and convert you to Christianity."
Its a joke, get it? But its not satire, instead it comes off as a smug conviction of your own rightness so bulletproof that you can joke about it with a swagger.

I suppose in the end whatever side you're sending up for ridicule, satire begins with an unwillingness to accept lies and bombast from those in power. Problem is, thats not in Fox's remit.
 
Actually I appreciate the smooth transition the fox news channel went from beating the war drums pre Iraq war and during the first few years of the occupation or "the neocons glory years", to becoming the TV version of the "enquier" and "star" tabloids. What has happened to the neocons mouthpiece, o reilly, hannity ? Good bye Ralph Peters and hello "body language expert" Tonya Reiman on the o'reilly factor. What a riot, o reilly will do anything not to talk about Iraq. Although they sur use dennis miller a lot. Since when has he been a political and foreign policy pundits?! Did I say "pundit"? Sorry I meant "peanut". Although no one can uderstand what he says anyway, he is so smart and funny! at least that's what hannity and o reilly seem to think. The fox news channel has been lucky to have terry schiavo, natalee holloway, anna nicol smith, britney spear with hair or no hair. Yep, good bye to the Iraq war, where real people die and hello to the "war on christmas" where no one die, that will help the warmongers at the fox news to help its viewers to focus on the "real issues" America faces, "the secular progressives" :)
