Obama has tried to use his naive approach of appeasement in
dealing with the Nations of Islam and it is never going to work
no matter how low you bow to these hate filled people.

This was predictable and in fact I have said from the outset the
best way to handle a poisonous snake is to cut off it's head, (or
words to that effect).

Putting off killing this snake has made it fare more problematic
than if we had told Israel to go ahead before the reactor was
fueled and the Russians supplied anti aircraft defenses.

Ahmadinejad Rant Deals Major Blow to 'Obama Doctrine'

The bizarre U.N. rant alleging a 9/11 conspiracy by Iranian
strongman Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, delivered from the same
podium where President Obama had just hours before
extended yet another of olive branch of diplomacy toward the
rogue Persian regime, marks the most devastating setback
yet in the administration's campaign of global engagement,
foreign-policy experts say.

I agree.

Now if only there was a way to do it discretely and without it escalating into a full scale war.

I would have no problem with us trying to assassinate the bastard. Though, for it to be successful it would have to be one of the best covert operations in American history. And of course it would have to stay out of the history books for many, many years.

How about you post something a little less overly partisan? (and less fundamentally stupid too)

Ahmadinejad has been making statements like this for years. Nothing Obama can say right now will ever change what he wants. Ahmadinejad's power base relies upon an external enemy. Making peace with America is counterproductive. With Iran's economy in relative shambles compared to the economic prosperity of Khatami, Ahmadinejad has reverted to the tried and true external enemy to consolidate power. Granted, he doesn't have actual power due to the structure of Iran's government, but frankly nothing Obama can do or say will make him change. What WILL make him change is prosperity in Iran.

As for the article's experts, Heritage, National Review and Bolton.

How about you try to least hide your rampant partisan hackery?

Bad idea. It's possible then the mayor of Iran will take his position. He's basically like Ahmadinejad, but less abrasive and competent. Ahmadinejad is essentially a loud dumb piece of anti-West ****. Do you want a quiet, competent, coalition building anti-West politician in charge of Iran? No. Bad idea.

If we can't even catch Bin Laden what success can we expect to kill the little clown. Most likely he will self implode inside his own country with their own internal problems.

Being the size of an American 5th grader I imagine the little sausage has a very large security entourage with him at all times.

The Obama policy for Iran is a direct continuation of the Bush era policy, there are no differences. Our stance, tactics, and diplomatic actions regarding Iran and Iran's nuclear program haven't changed at all.

While Obama was stretching out a hand to shake, he was slapping Mahmoud in the face with the other. There was no attempt to improve relations, this was all just part of Obama's double-speak.

It seems bar a few having a temper tantrum, the rest of those present quite enjoyed what Ahmadinejad said.

let me attempt to make a couple of points using the following excerpt from a'jad's speech:
... Second, is the occupation of the Palestinian territories

The oppressed people of Palestine have lived under the rule of an occupying
regime for 60 years, been deprived of freedom, security and the right to self-determination, while the occupiers are given recognition. On a daily basis, the houses are being destroyed over the heads of innocent women and children.

People are deprived of water, food and medicine in their own homeland. The Zionists have imposed five all-out wars on the neighboring countries and on the Palestinian people.

The Zionists committed the most horrible crimes against the defenseless people in
the wars against Lebanon and Gaza.

The Zionist regime attacked a humanitarian flotilla in a blatant defiance of all
international norms and kills the civilians.

This regime which enjoys the absolute support of some western countries regularly
threatens the countries in the region and continues publicly announced assassination of Palestinian figures and others, while Palestinian defenders and those opposing this regime are pressured, labeled as terrorists and anti Semites.

All values, even the freedom of expression, in Europe and in the United States are being sacrificed at the altar of Zionism.

Solutions are doomed to fail because the right of the Palestinian people is not taken into account.

Would we have witnessed such horrendous crimes if instead of recognizing the
occupation, the sovereign right of the Palestinian people had been recognized?

Our unambiguous proposition is the return of the Palestinian refugees to their home land and the reference to the vote of the people of Palestine to exercise their
sovereignty and decide on the type of governance ...

both a'jad and Obama advocated the recognition of a Palestinian state
a'jad made the stronger, factual points
Obama was more diplomatic
don't see how that undermined Obama's doctrine (per the thread title)

the observation of the king of jordan, that the failure to resolve the matters between the israelis and Palestinians provides fuel to the likes of a'jad, and osama bin forgotten, and al qaeda is a perceptive view
he notes that if we extinguish that fire in Palestine, then the cause that gives credibility to a'jad, osama and al qaeda is also extinguished and those players become local matters rather than global matters ... causing their form of extremism to be better contained

I like how anything other than an airstrike gets labeled as "appeasement."

Really, can you be more specific?

Obama has tried to use his naive approach of appeasement

you can show this to be true or is it your practice to strew unqualified slurs?
