Agency to Test Military Draft Machinery (1 Viewer)

replacing the burnt out vaccuum tubes and fixing up all the punch cards on the draft machines, eh?

Hmm, could be both a good and a bad thing. I wonder how I'd respond to being conscripted to fight in a war I've thought was wrong since before it began...
 
Uh pretty everyone is saying the no to the draft. Now granted I'd have to be an idiot to take what they said at face value, but suggesting the draft in todays climate is political suicide. Vietnam is still too recently burned into voters memories to consider it. In addition, the military structure has changed significantly, and having a bunch of untrained cannon fodder is much less useful than in used to be. They tested this 8 years ago, so it makes sense to fire up the engine just to make its running, even if you don't drive the car.
 
The draft is coming (without a doubt) in approx 15 years. Id be willing to bet just about anything on it.
 
If there are rumors of reinstating the draft I'm moving to either Canada or Sweden. What they should do is draft all the old people from the baby boomer generation so our government funding isn't overrun by them lol

What they should do is find out who is planning on avoiding the draft and boot their asses out of this country ASAP!

Wouldn't that be an infringement on my constitutional rights? At least until the draft starts, but what would be the point of sending people away then?

I didnt say it was legal. It is, however, a good idea.

I think a draft will be a good thing,hopefully this time some dip **** president doesn't pardon those scum who flee to Canada.I think a draft would be a good thing as long as it is mandatory that every person's first enlistment is a combat MOS.

Where, in the Constitution, is it specified that military service is required for citizenship?
