After Bankruptcy Filing, Recriminations Fly at Air America

Is it too much to hope that it'll be replaced with something good? I don't have a cd or mp3 player in my car, so my choices are a)some right wing nut screaming ad nauseam every day, every hour about illegal immigration b)Tom Leykis telling me to "dump that bitch." c)crappy pop music and incessant commercials and d)Randy Rhodes, who uses sound effects and endless sarcasm.

I say, give me the news, I'll provide the sarcasm.

See Drudge, word is there are looking for a buyer. Wonder what anyone would want with it and if they do buy it will they get rid of the insufferable Randi Rhodes? THEN they may get an audience

Try NPR.....at least they are only slightly biased....heh

But doesn't this say it all

From your cite

"Faced with constant money woes, the board considered a takeover by the Democracy Alliance, a loose group of moneyed progressives, including George Soros, who had pooled resources to support projects they considered worthy. But the group ultimately rejected the appeal, because “Air America needed to do certain things to make it a more attractive business,” Mr. Kreeger said.

Mr. Kelly said he was disappointed that rich Democrats did not step up to support the network’s political goals. On fund-raising calls, he said, he was often turned down because the business plan was too risky."

They still want to run it like a PAC, which I guess it is. What about getting some AD REVENUE. This is commercial radio not a non-profit................oops I guess it is "non-profit" isn't it ROFL! I wonder if they, the people paying them to run their political viewpoints, are allowed to write off the losses. IRS and FEC should look into what they are doing here.
