Nestled within the health insurance giant’s second-quarter earnings report was the announcement that Aetna (AET) is not only shelving plans to expand its individual Affordable Care Act public exchange business in 2017, but is reevaluating its participation. That’s right. Aetna is the latest big insurer to project a loss on ACA plans for 2016. It was considering expanding into five new states in next year, adding to a 15-state footprint. But Aetna says the business lost roughly $200 million in the second quarter and expects a loss of more than $300 million for the full year.

If you think it was meant to succeed you're a fool. If you think you were going to keep your plan/doctor, you're... just so cute.

The whole point was to exacerbate the costs to the point that Universal Healthcare was inevitable. Single payer was ALWAYS the goal.

Never a Progressive fault, it's always some reason the great scheme fails that isn't "their fault"

Who LET them "write the law"? Obama and the Dem house and Senate. So.. you condemn them either way this goes, good job! LOL

Apparently, the CEO is making good the threat he made when he told regulartors that if his merger is not approved, he would withdraw from the market place.

In other words, it is in a fit of anger over not getting his way.

Obama asked for a pure gov't health insurance program (single payer), and instead the insurers wrote a law that would grant them an enforced monopoly, where all Americans would be forced to buy their plans.
