Pre cancer growths usually on your face. I am very light skinned and went to the dermatologist for a couple of spots on my face that just wouldn't heal. Turns out its pre-cancer. He gave me this cream to put on my face twice a day. It brings up all the effected tissue even if wasn't noticeable before. My face is covered with red, sore, itchy ugly patches. Its pretty gross but hopefully after a couple of weeks it should be back to normal. Anyone else have to deal with this? Just curious if anyone had any advice or cared to share their experience. I see the Dr. on Thursday, I sure hope I can stop the treatment and start healing.
Thanks.
I haven't and hope you feel better. I did manage to get myself a raging case of poison ivy over the weekend. Both arms, chest, stomach and neck. Those areas are covered in ugly red blotchy skin complete with blisters that make me look like I have the friggin' bubonic plague. And itchy as a mother. So I can kinda / sorta commiserate.
Sorry to hear that. I don't know anything about it, but I hope it goes away and you heal completely, and quickly.
Yea me too. Beats full blown skin cancer.

One of my former colleagues who is very fair skinned, came to work one day and it looked like he had a wicked bad case of poison ivy or the worst teenage acne I had seen. Same thing. I think it lasted about a week but it was several years ago and I don't recall the exact length since he went on vacation and I did right before he came back and when I saw him again it was all gone
I'm very fair skinned. I'm sure it was years of playing tennis along with other outside activity. I fell asleep on Miami beach once. The one and only time. I put on sunscreen and wore a baseball cap a lot but not religiously. Very similar to this, I hope the after photo is similar as well.

I swear I've never heard of such a thing as pre-cancer ...
Thanks for your reply. As I understand it, its sun damaged skin that can become skin cancer roughly 10 percent of the time. Of that there is a possibility it turns to the really bad type like 1% of the time. I'm sure you have the google skills to research. I must say it is important to keep on top of growths, marks, spots as you get older. Especially if you are fair skinned and or spend a lot of time in the sun.

True enough. From what I understand 1 bad burn increases the rate of skin cancer. I burn easily, have Lupus and I use what my dermatologist recommended. I use a 60 to 65 sunscreen. And I still burn easily.
Loreal and Ombrelle are good brands.
I'm sure an auto immune problem doesn't help. I didn't know about the 1 bad burn scenario. I am a fellow moon beam burner who was quite active outside for most of my life with tennis, softball, basketball etc. I'm not surprised after reading about it.
