A report card on the Biden administration

In the opinion of some, Trump is lying. Trump knows his followers support him because he is in legal trouble. Trump's legal problems garner him cash his followers are eager to pay. In addition, Trump loves to play the victim. He blames Biden for his legal woes, and his followers, who shun reality, believe him. Be that as it may, Trump loves the publicity of his legal problems. In his mind, he can't get enough publicity, and he doesn't care if it is good or bad.

To know Trump, one has to realize he is an extremist narcissist.
And a prolific liar who creates his own reality. He is the Republican candidate for President.

In other words, is there any possible reason to believe anything he says?

His followers cant answer that question. They don't say anything.

NBC reports, "Former President Donald Trump claimed early Friday that he has "almost" $500 million in cash, undercutting his lawyers' claims that he would not be able to comply with the $464 million judgment against him and his co-defendants in the civil fraud case brought by New York Attorney General Letitia James.

"Through hard work, talent, and luck, I currently have almost five hundred million dollars in cash, a substantial amount of which I intended to use in my campaign for president," Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social in all caps.

"Trump hasn’t contributed any of his own money to his presidential campaigns since 2016. He had floated in 2020 that he’d personally spend what it took to win re-election, but did not do so."

ABC adds, "Donald Trump's social media company Truth Social completed a merger Friday morning that could net the former president over $3 billion."

It is a strange deal, because Truth Social is overvalued. The buyers didn't know that, or is this a con?

In any case, Trump can't use the three billion for the bond due Monday.

Is Trump lying? On Friday Trump says he has $500M in cash. On Friday Trump sells overvalued Truth Social. Hm-m-m.

In other words, is there any possible reason to believe anything he says?

Trump minions, thank you for your help. More coverage of Republicans and Trump. Enjoy!

Republicans are attempting to hide the truth from readers (posts 2735, 2740, 2742-2747].
One thing forum Republicans don't want you to know is that, at the bidding of their Presidential candidate, Republicans in Congress continue to support Russia!

They will not allow military aid to Ukraine in their fight against Russian aggression.

Are Trump's followers suckers? Are they dumb enough to pay for Trump's legal woes?

We don't know. They never say anything. Perhaps they don't want to embarrass themselves.

The Times reports, "With the deadline for Mr. Trump to post an appeals bond on Monday, the Trump campaign has sent at least 10 similar fund-raising solicitations since Wednesday accusing Ms. James and Democrats of trying to seize Mr. Trump’s marquee property, Trump Tower."

I stand vindicated.

Thank you for the confirmation.
Yep only you would think that the President who had all 3 houses was too new? Campaign promises failed and shut the down the govt for??

Republicans are attempting to hide the truth from readers (posts 2735, 2740, 2742-2747, 2754, 2755]. Their meaningless posts prove everything I have ever said about them. They can't even deny it.
"President Trump famously declared during his 2016 campaign that he loved the “poorly educated” because voters with lower levels of schooling delivered an overwhelming share of votes to him," the conservative Washington Times."
Not once, in the years I have been with this forum, have I seen a Trump Republican explain his/her support for Trump or defend Trump in threads like this one that is critical of him.

Trump's support comes from the rural counties of America, which explains his large popularity amid the educationally challenged. https://inthesetimes.com/article/20...ulism-peoples-action-win-rural-america-report

Trump's followers are half-educated anarchists from the country's rural counties. Trump is speaking directly to these people, which explains a lot, but his followers avoid him as much as possible ... as this thread shows.
Republicans are silent because they rarely discuss the issues, and they avoid discussing their political party and their Presidential candidate.

There is not one thread by a Republican about the Republican Party or Trump.

I am scared to death at the possibility of these people choosing our next President.

And what a President. Trump would be a disaster for our country.

To prove a point, no Republican will respond to the issues in this report.

The Republican Party is amid chaos.

Its followers are unable to deal with the issues.

Republican Rep. Ken Buck quit Friday..

“There is a series of what, I think, are dysfunctions in this institution that I am tired of. And we just covered one — spending — and there are certainly others, but the place doesn't work on behalf of the American people,” Buck explained.

CNN reports, "GOP Rep. Mike Gallagher of Wisconsin will resign from Congress early, handing another blow to Speaker Mike Johnson and his razor thin Republican majority.

"In a statement, Gallagher confirmed he will resign effective April 19.

"Speaker Johnson will be down to a 217-to-213 majority, meaning Republicans will only be able to lose one vote with full attendance and still be able to pass legislation."

CNN reports, "Sen. Lisa Murkowski, aghast at Donald Trump’s candidacy and the direction of her party, won’t rule out bolting from the GOP.

"The veteran Alaska Republican, one of seven Republicans who voted to convict Trump in his second impeachment trial amid the aftermath of January 6, 2021, is done with the former president and said she “absolutely” would not vote for him.

“I wish that as Republicans, we had … a nominee that I could get behind,” Murkowski told CNN. “I certainly can’t get behind Donald Trump.”

This is how Republicans feel!

To be frank, I am scared, scared for our country. Think of a President chosen by anarchists [posts 2735, 2740, 2742-2747, 2754, 2755] who are so naive and uninformed they are cracking jokes while supporting an accused felon for President. They simply don't care, the prime characteristic for an anarchist.

The problem is the Framers never envisioned a man like Trump and his harmful influence on a party capable of electing a President. They created the Electoral College that gave too much power to states with low populations (rural states). Trump has never won an election, but he became President and is now running to become President again despite the fact that he attempted to overthrow our elected government and stole classified documents. Imagine a President accused of 91 felonies and facing four criminal trials.

Trump would be a disaster for our country. It could take a decade to clean up the mess he created.

But, anarchists, who blame the government for their failures and lack of success. love him.

To prove a point, no Republican will respond to the issues in this report!

Trump may -- emphasis on "may" -- face a criminal trial before the November elections.

CNN reports, "In the hush money case, a judge said the criminal trial against Trump will begin on April 15 with jury selection. During a hearing Monday, which Trump attended, the judge dismissed the former president’s motion to toss out the indictment altogether or delay the trial further."

It is the weakest case against Trump, but judges may have succeeded in delaying the other three criminal trials pass the November elections.

If elected President, Trump will be able to dismiss the DOJ charges against him in the Jan. 6 subversion case and the stolen documents case, the two most serious indictments.

Apparently, judges from New York to Florida want this to happen.

One thing forum Republicans don't want you to know is that, at the bidding of their Presidential candidate, Republicans in Congress continue to support Russia!

Which , of course, does NOT equate to support of Russia except in the shallowest of minds.

Republicans are helping Russia by thinking one dimensional. They are incapable of thinking beyond the present.

Ukraine is not a member of NATO, but is fighting for NATO, attempting to fend off Russian aggression.

Ukraine is not a member of NATO, but her neighbors are. The U.S. is a member of NATO, a factor beyond the understanding of. Republicans.

Article 5 provides that if a NATO Ally is the victim of an armed attack, each and every other member of the Alliance will consider this act of violence as an armed attack against all members and will take the actions it deems necessary to assist the Ally attacked.

Another factor beyond the understanding of Republicans as they continue their support of Russia.

If Putin is successful in his invasion of Ukraine, he will not stop there. Ukraine's neighbors are NATO allies. Where do you think Putin will go next? Westward or the Baltic states are only choice.

Most Americans want Ukraine to do the fighting for us, and want desperately to avoid an encounter in NATO countries adjacent to Russia.

A few billion to Ukraine now or trillions and thousands dead later?

Republicans can't think that far ahead.

ABC reports, "Former President Donald Trump indicated to ABC News on Monday that he would testify at his upcoming criminal trial in New York over a hush payment to adult film actress Stormy Daniels.

"I would have no problem testifying," he said when ABC News asked at a press conference, following his court appearance in the case, whether he would testify. "I didn't do anything wrong."

Trump doesn't have a problem testifying, but his lawyers do. He lies too much. In most cases they have prevented him from testifying.

Judges continue to assist the accused felon!

For reasons that are beyond comprehension, the Republican candidate for President, an accused felon, is leading in the polls. Republicans have been asked why they chose an accused felon to lead them, but Republicans don't say anything -- as can be see in this thread.

Judges have postponed Trump's two most serious criminal trials probably beyond the November elections. If Trump is elected, he will dismiss the charges in the Jan. 6 subversion trial and the stolen documents case. Judges have not set a date for either of these trials.

The hush money criminal trial in which Trump stands accused of bribing a porn star for silence begins April 15, but don't hold your breath. As can be seen even by a blind man, judges have been known to delay criminal trials involving Trump.

Or, Judge Juan M. Merchan is an honest judge.

So, the possibility is becoming more and more likely that our next President will be a convicted felon, guilty of paying off a porn star with campaign funds..

That is the choice provided by our justice system.

That is what Republicans want to happen.

An opinion by W. James Antle III. W is obviously a Trump Republican. He is living in a dreamworld.

He writes, "Former President Donald Trump, facing a deadline to post a $464 million bond no one would give him, caught a break from a state appeals court Monday that cut the bond demand in his civil fraud case to $175 million due within the next 10 days. The action may also spare Democrats backlash from voters who would be incensed at the potential seizure of Trump’s assets.

"But the confiscation of Trump’s assets – or the threat of seizures – could also rally voters to his side in much the same way his other legal problems appear to have helped him in the Republican primaries. People often don’t like to see people’s bank accounts and properties seized, and this alone could engender sympathy for the candidate. But Trump is in a unique position as someone seen as a victim of the political class and a defender of his voters against similar attacks."

W is obviously talking about Trump's followers. They think like that, not Democrats and most Americans.

Trump was found guilty. That is why he is on the hook for $454M.

Unlike Trump Republicans, Democrats and most Americans think the guilty should be punished. That is what is happening to Trump, and most Americans, including a good many Republicans, are happy about that.

The Republican-like Supreme Court has the time for a frivolous lawsuit involving a pill that has been used over 600,000 times for past 24 years, has been approved by CDC and FDA, and is safer than penicillin and Viagra.

Only to make no changes to its use.

The AP reports, "The Supreme Court on Tuesday seemed likely to preserve access to a medication that was used in nearly two-thirds of all abortions in the U.S. last year, in the court’s first abortion case since conservative justices overturned Roe v. Wade two years ago.

"In nearly 90 minutes of arguments, a consensus appeared to emerge that the abortion opponents who challenged the FDA’s approval of the medication, mifepristone, and subsequent actions to ease access to it, lack the legal right or standing to sue."

The Trump dominated Supreme Court -- bent on protecting the accused felon -- is an embarrassment.

Ever since the Trump Supreme Court overturned Roe vs. Wade, the Republican Party has lost every election whenever abortion became an election issue.

No wonder there is no response from Republicans. They will not talk about their party, their Presidential candidate, or the issues presented. They can't even defend themselves.

And yet, Trump leads in the polls.

Here we go again. Can Trump keep his mouth shut?

Nope, but the judge is trying.

This is the honest judge. He is trying hard to hold Trump accountable for the felonies he has committed ... allegedly.

CNN reports, "A New York judge has imposed a gag order on Donald Trump, limiting the former president from making statements about potential witnesses in the criminal trial relating to hush money payments scheduled to begin next month.

"Judge Juan Merchan also said that Trump can’t make statements about attorneys, court staff or the family members of prosecutors or lawyers intended to interfere with the case. Trump is also barred from making statements about any potential or actual juror.

"The former president, Merchan wrote, has a history of making “threatening, inflammatory, denigrating” statements against people at all levels of the justice system, including jurors.

"Trump’s historic criminal trial will begin with jury selection on April 15, after a dispute over the late production of documents caused Merchan to initially push back the start date. Trump is charged with 34 counts of falsifying business records stemming from reimbursements to Cohen for hush money payments he made before the 2016 election to Daniels to keep her from going public about an alleged affair with Trump. The former president has pleaded not guilty and denied the affair."

Trump's followers will continue their silence.

Hell, they don't even know know Trump is facing a criminal trial. Trump hasn't told them.
"President Trump famously declared during his 2016 campaign that he loved the “poorly educated” because voters with lower levels of schooling delivered an overwhelming share of votes to him," the conservative Washington Times."

The media is telling us that the destruction of the bridge in Baltimore will cause the economy to go south.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average shot up 477.75 points, or 1.22%, to end at 39,760.08.

I have posted a number of positive reports on the resilient Biden economy.

I have asked those who think differently, those giving our President poor marks on the economy (37%), to explain why they think the way they do.

No response.

This thread has been critical of the Republican Party and especially its Presidential candidate. I have asked those who approve of the GOP and its candidate to explain why they think the way they do.

No response.

Conclusion: Those giving our President poor marks on the economy and those who support the Republican Party and its candidate can't think.

It's the only conclusion available.

Or they avoid the reality of this thread, which is the same thing.
"President Trump famously declared during his 2016 campaign that he loved the “poorly educated” because voters with lower levels of schooling delivered an overwhelming share of votes to him," the conservative Washington Times."

P.S. The Dow is soaring, and we have virtual full employment and robust spending.

The Republican Party is falling fast, and its supporters are incapable of dealing with the issues.

But they want to pick our next President!

Despite what Trump says, the 2020 election was not stolen. There in no evidence that the election was stolen. Yet a number of Republicans, including Trump and his lawyers, have embraced the lie.

It is a measure of how far down the Republican Party has fallen under Trump's leadership.

The Post reports, "Those seeking employment at the Republican National Committee after a Donald Trump-backed purge of the committee this month have been asked in job interviews if they believe the 2020 election was stolen, according to people familiar with the interviews, making the false claim a litmus test of sorts for hiring."

CNN reports, "Fallout for lawyers who assisted Donald Trump in his efforts to overturn the 2020 election is coming into focus this week, as one ex-lawyer for Trump will find if he may lose his law license and another attorney is in the middle of a disciplinary trial.

"John Eastman, a conservative law professor, and Jeffrey Clark, the former Trump Justice Department official whom Trump nearly installed as attorney general, face major developments in their attorney discipline cases in the jurisdictions where they are barred.

Eight of Trump's associates have been in prison. https://www.axios.com/2024/03/07/trump-associates-prison-sentence-crimes-list

The Republican candidate for President and the party leader is charged with 91 felonies while facing four criminal trials.

Trump's uninformed followers don't know it, but, as anarchists, they are causing the destruction of one of America's major parties. That is probably their goal, which accounts for their silence.

Nuttier than a fruitcake -- living a lie while selling bibles at $59.99 each -- that is likely to be Trump's goal as well.

CNN reports, "Former President Donald Trump, who paved the way for the undoing of federal abortion rights protections, said that some Republicans “speak very inarticulately” about the issue and have pursued “terrible” state-level restrictions that could alienate much of the country."

That is politico-speak for "stay away from abortion. It loses elections."

“I would sit down with both sides and I’d negotiate something and we’ll end up with peace on that issue for the first time in 52 years,” Trump said dreamily.

A Democrat won in Trump country. Alabama is solidly Republican.

Politico reports, "An Alabama Democrat who campaigned aggressively on abortion access won a special election in the state Legislature on Tuesday, sending a message that abortion remains a winning issue for Democrats, even in the deep South."

“Today, Alabama women and families sent a clear message that will be heard in Montgomery and across the nation,” Lands said in a statement. “Our legislature must repeal Alabama’s no-exceptions abortion ban, fully restore access to IVF, and protect the right to contraception.”

There are “reasonable grounds” to believe Israel is “committing the crime of genocide against the Palestinians as a group in Gaza,” the United Nations’ Special Rapporteur on human rights in the Palestinian territories has said.

Or, Hamas is committing the crime of genocide against the Palestinians as a group in Gaza by hiding its forces within the Palestinian population.

A fact rarely mentioned by the media as they quote casualty statistics provided by Hamas.

According to Trump's lawyers, if President Trump lies to the American people, lies to his followers to compel them to do something illegal, lies to the media, and lies to the Georgia secretary of state to "find" over 11,000 votes, that's okay because he is within his First Amendment rights.

No wonder Republicans can't find anything to say. That's astonishing.

The Republican candidate for President is selling bibles for $59.99.

These people want to run the government following the November elections!
The Times reports, "Russian operatives are laying the groundwork for what could be a stronger push to support candidates who oppose aiding Ukraine, or who call for pulling the United States back from NATO and other alliances, U.S. officials and independent researchers say."

That would be Republicans!

Axios reports, "As Ukraine's war with Russia has worn on, Republican lawmakers have increasingly disputed plans to continue providing aid to Kyiv.

In its bitter fight against Russian aggression Ukraine is rapidly running out of ammunition due to the lack of American support.

The lack of support is a consequence of Republican support of Russia!

But they have time for a ludicrous impeachment because the party leader wants somebody to be impeached -- he was impeached twice -- and the impeachment of Biden isn't working out so good.

"Senate Republicans voted against advancing a bipartisan border security deal. A motion to proceed to the package failed by a vote of 49-50, with most of the Senate GOP conference voting against it," The Hill.

ABC reports, "House Speaker Mike Johnson announced on Thursday that the impeachment articles against Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas will be sent to the Senate on April 10, and senators are then expected to be sworn in and seated as a jury the next day, April 11.

"The House voted to impeach Mayorkas on Feb. 13 by a vote of 214-213 over what Republicans claimed was his failure to enforce border laws amid a "crisis" of high illegal immigration, allegations the secretary denied as "baseless." But Johnson waited to send over the articles until the government was fully funded.

"Republicans wrote, "The American people demand a secure border, an end to this crisis, and accountability for those responsible."

More time wasted since the Senate will kill the impeachment, and Johnson knows it, proving once again the inability of Republicans to govern!

The forum's Republicans will agree with that statement. They will not question it.

On the other hand, they may be too embarrassed to respond. Led by Trump, Republicans are making fools of themselves, and the forum's Republicans know it.
