I would be interested in reading your reponses, at least I hope these will be in the plural.
Thank you.

OK, let me rephrase the question.
Why do YOU think they hold the elections in November?

November is the month for turkeys, isn't it? Sorry, someone had to say it.

It is in the constitution. It was so that the new Prez and Congress would have ample time to get to Washington for the next session in March.

I suspect it was because it was a season when farmers could leave the farm and vote. It's after harvest time in the U.S. but the weather is still decent for traveling.

Must have been during the 55 mph speed limit.

At the time the Constitution was written most travel was either by horseback or horse drawn carriages.
55MPH with these conveyances would be a little fast.
I prefer CAPITAINCOURTESY's response or another way on the same theme.

November is the best month for selecting Turkey's.

Sounds reasonable - that is unless you're in Minnesota or the likes - sorry had to bring that up.

Because it's in the constitution.

That's the reason, but I personally would like to see the date changed...to April 16...one day after the government gets right in your face about how much money they steal to waste. Elections might turn out a bit differently.

The American electorate elect the type of government they deserve.

For instance, do you personally believe every single product as advertised on TV, the Internet, in Cinema's, the Newspapers?

Obviously the answer is NO, this raises the question, why do you believe Political Adverts?

Why do I say that?

Simple, the Politician with the largest war chest, generally (not always) but generally wins.
