Trump went on national TV and stated to the American populace that HE would own the government shutdown , take the mantle, and NOT blame Schumer or Pelosi for the government shutdown. Now we have all of these threads started by Trump's base/supporters who claim it is the Dems who own the shutdown. So, who is correct, Trump, who stated he owns the shutdown.....or his base that says he doesn't own the shutdown ? .......................... EDIT: Thread topic should read "A Question Regarding the Shutdown for Conservatives"

Trump owns the shutdown because he stated in March 2018 that he would not sign another 'budget' bill without funding for the Great Wall Of Trump.
