Here's an idea: A few days before the election AG Barr should announce DOJ indictments of a dozen or so Obama administration officials, including Obama and Biden. Others could include FBI director Comey and Mueller. No thought of actually prosecuting or convicting anyone should matter in the least bit. It could muster up a few thousand votes in key states to swing the election Trump's way. If Trump wins, the cases could slowly and quietly be dropped. After all, we now know that the DOJ can reverse itself at any time (think Flynn). And the point is to get Trump re-elected anyway.

If Biden wins anyway, can you imagine the "outrage" of the presidency being won by someone under indictment?

This is a GOP wet dream.

Just let it "leak" that Joe Biden and his campaign staff are under investigation for colluding with Chinese (and other foreign) agents to rig the election. ;)

That would fit the GOP method of mud slinging, and making false accusations.

Barr has already said that neither Biden or Obama are under investigation.

Not sure what you are worried about with respect to the Durham investigation. He is reviewing the work that led to an investigation that Mr. Trump and/or his campaign was conspiring with Russia in 2016.
If that had been a perfectly legitimate investigation, then it will be shown as such.
If its not... Doesn't necessarily mean indictments.

The Durham investigation is irrelevant. AG has the prerogative to indict anyone he chooses to at any time. Right before the election seems as good a time as any. If Trump loses, we can assume Barr will be gone anyway, so he's got nothing to lose. His job is to help Trump get re-elected. If that fails, oh well.

Last time around Comey announced an investigation with no time for Clinton to react. Comey did clear Clinton two weeks later, but she had already lost the election. It literally cost her the election. Worse yet, it is hard to pin trump to.

trump (or his supporters) will probably try to get the same thing to happen again. I doubt they could get indictments, because that requires a grand jury and evidence. A grand jury would have had to be impaneled months ago.

trump could have another "investigation", much like their "investigation" of voter fraud. he promised to catch the millions of cases of voter fraud. he put the most rabid conspiracy theorists about voter fraud on the committee. And in the end they slinked away quietly having failed to prove any voter fraud.

I think this is the likely thing that will happen. The problem is the only people who will believe the investigation were already well motivated trump supporters. The rest will ask why there is not a real investigation.

You act like that's original. :lamo

Sarcasm not your strong suit? Of course it's not original. It is virtually the exact same thing that the GOP has done in every presidential election cycle for the past quarter century. Same song, different verse. Now let's get those investigations going! We've got elections to win!
