The year: 2008. We've just elected a moronic president finishing his presidency. He got a 'base' of voters with nonsense pandering, and supported a plutocratic agenda, his biggest bill a tax cut for the rich.

He was leaving office in the worst economic crash in 75 years, which his policies worsened. It was clear the backlash would very likely elect the Democrat.

What the country NEEDED was a reversal of decades of plutocratic policies, of huge increases in the debt in order for the rich to be undertaxed and be dangerously rich and powerful. What we needed was another FDR.

Trump does not have a plutocratic agenda, though the Congress he continually tries to deal with, while they continually try to oppose him, is filled with plutocrats.

 ...ugh...

...you'd have to be a republican-radio-level zombie to have not figured out that stinking trump owes many illion$ to 'the plutocrats' [banksters] ...

[apparently this trump cheerleader is unfamiliar with the biblical proverb, 'The borrower is servant to the lender'...] ugh... :cuckoo:

Irrelevant.

Trump policies and actions are a direct threat to the plutocrats in Congress and the people who pay for them. That's why they continually oppose him.

He's upsetting their apple cart and they'll do whatever it takes...spend whatever it takes...to get him out of office. Including lie about him.

Don't believe their lies.

So says Qanon - YOU are the news.

President Donald Trump repeatedly has violated his often-stated populist pledge to advocate for the American people, instead siding with plutocrats on issue after issue, according to a new Public Citizen report released today. The report, “Forgetting the Forgotten,” lists 101 ways in which Trump has handed over our government to giant corporations and Republican megadonors, rather than taking actions that would benefit everyone else. ...recently, Trump told the truth about which interests he actually represents. After signing tax cuts for big corporations and the wealthy in December, Trump told his guests, “You all just got a lot richer,” at a holiday dinner at his Mar-a-Lago club in Florida, where the initiation fee is $200,000.

The Public Citizen report details dozens of deregulatory moves and giveaways the Trump administration has enacted on behalf of the superrich – from protecting hedge fund owners to rolling back consumer and worker safety protections, from going soft on corporate crime to coddling Big Oil and Wall Street.

In 2008, the wacko was the GOP vice presidential candidate. Today, he's their incumbent president.

I've called Palin 'the female trump'. You're right, having the crazy on the Republican ticket is deja vu.

Answering your own question.
