New paper finds climate models cannot explain the global warming stagnation over past 15 years

Divergence of climate model predicted global temperatures from real world data over the past 15 years has now exceeded the range of uncertainty claimed for the models. It is now time to admit that the models are fundamentally wrong.

Why are the models wrong? The authors offer three possibilities:

1. the models underestimate natural climate variability

2. the climate models fail to include important forcings such as ocean oscillations and solar amplification

3. the models assume exaggerated climate sensitivity to man-made CO2

When have the models ever provided valid real-world results?

Oh, goodie, yet another blog from the Church of Perpetual Denial.

Uh.... That's Church of Pragmatic Skepticism. You know, where we look for facts? I think I understand your confusion, though. When you are in the alternate reality bubble surrounding the Church of Perpetual Gullibility, the interface to the real world can be quite murky.
