A simple model replicates global temperatures back to 1850 and predicts falling temperatures for 2 or 3 more decades.

The model assumes no additional CO2 in the atmosphere between 1850 and now meaning that the additional CO2 has had no effect.

The model assumes that climate is controlled by an overlapping series of cycles including a 1000 year cycle of warming, sun cycles, moon cycles, and planetary cycles.

It seems to me that the basic idea of AGW proponents is that once its effects become truely evident, by then it will be too late to do anything about them, so we must accept the theory as fact, ASAP, and implement their desired "solutions" now.

The urgency I think comes from their knowledge that they had to get all of the legislation in place before the current warming cycle ended so that they could take credit for the cooling.
