The striking thing about the claim that the climate has gotten more extreme is that that it's so completely false and not based in fact.

The weather has not gotten more extreme, it has gotten less so.

This paper, published in the International Journal of Climatology, is yet another set of data that confirms that fact. The investigators show that wind speeds over Turkey have generally declined over the period studied. This fits with other studies in other areas of the world showing the same.

As I've posted previously, hurricanes, cyclones, and tornados have also become less intense and less numerous over time.
