A new peer reviewed paper published in the Journal of Geophysical Research shows that Antarctic ice shelves have gained ice over the previous 26 years.
The ice shelves are in the sea surrounding the land mass of Antarctica.
The Antarctic ice sheet is the ice that has collected on the land. A NASA report presented satellite data showing long term accumulation of ice in the sheet as well.
