The most thorough, profound and moving defense of Hillary Clinton I have ever seen.

First
To conservatives she is a radical left-wing insurgent who has on multiple occasions been compared to Mikhail Suslov, the Soviet Kremlin’s long-time Chief of Ideology. To many progressives (you know who you are), she is a Republican fox in Democratic sheep’s clothing, a shill for Wall Street who doesn’t give a damn about the working class. The fact that these views could not possibly apply to the same person does not seem to give either side pause. Hillary haters on the right and the left seem perfectly happy to maintain their mutually incompatible delusions...
Exactly. They can't both be right. So, someone obviously is wrong, clueless in their description. My guess, it's both who are not only clueless, but absolutely wrong in their description. Methinks both sides are reading too many press clippings.

Next,
a surprisingly large percentage of the electorate, the claim that Hillary is innately dishonest is simply accepted as a given. It is an accusation and conviction so ingrained in the conversation about her that any attempt to even question it is often met with shock. And yet here’s the thing: it’s not actually true. Politifact, the Pulitzer prize-winning fact-checking project, determined for example that Hillary was actually the most truthful candidate (of either Party) in the 2016 election season.
Yep, just saw that truth-chart this morning.

So, why the Hillary hate?
But while conservative propaganda and lies are a constant in “Hillaryland”, if we look at Hillary’s career, and the negative attacks so often aimed at her, it seems clear that more than just political machinations are at play. My current conviction is that the main fuel that powers the anti-Hillary crowd is sexism.

Yep. This is evidenced here in DP when we see the first line of attack from several "conservatives" against dudes who support Hillary is that they must be either gay or ***** whipped. It's an old game---challenge the manhood of anyone who dares support the female, especially a non-moose hunting female.

...what do we see in this data? What I see is that the public view of Hillary Clinton does not seem to be correlated to “scandals” or issues of character or whether she murdered Vince Foster. No, the one thing that seems to most negatively and consistently affect public perception of Hillary is any attempt by her to seek power.
Sure. Women like Hillary scare people, especially weak men.

A Daily Kos Clinton drool piece. Sorry, I would rather clip my dogs paws.

Actually, they CAN both be right; depending on the issue.

I am Libertarian - Left.

That means I combine Conservative-Liberal and some Left-Liberal views in the same package.

IMO she is also left on some issues (like gun control and immigration) and right on other issues (like foreign policy and supporting banking interests).

President Hillary Clinton Would Be Far More Conservative Than You Think

I dunno...maybe 20 years of watching her perform her Party Hackery might be the reason? :coffeepap:

There is really no case you can make for either person.
This is the worst election ever.

I can't see how anybody could vote for her because I don't think she believes anything that comes out of her mouth, as with most leftist politicians.

All in all, I say she is more forthright than Donald. I suspect the American public will agree and elect her POTUS.

My wife said it best this morning, if Hillary was a dude, we'd be singing him praises for his tenacity and willingness to bring the fight.

I wish Obama had more of it, to be honest. That dude needed a dose of Hillary more than anyone on earth. So, seeing a D president who won't roll over and play dead when the GOP pull their crap will be refreshing.

I couldn't honestly say that I've ever seen that first line of attack, and despite my best efforts I haven't managed to avoid all the R vs D threads. Maybe some people mistrust her over the whole emails issue. Maybe some people disapprove of a person who'd put up with a spouse like Bill (for the prestige the name brings?). Maybe some people don't like things about the first Clinton presidency, or her tenure as Secretary of State. Maybe some people find it hard to believe that a multi-millionaire mainstream candidate is going to fight for the wellbeing of average Joes.

Maybe some people don't like the absolute, certain inevitability of being called sexists if they don't jump on the Hillary bandwagon? Love her or loathe her, I would guess that her supporters do her cause nothing but harm by making that 'argument' - one can only hope that she herself doesn't stoop that low.

All in all, I say she is more forthright than Donald. I suspect the American public will agree and elect her POTUS.

How do you get that from what she has said and what he has said during this campaign?

For me, I know she's not as socialist-craving as Obama. I really don't think she'd allow the country to be militarily inept either.

....but she's politically evil. She's Martin Sheen in "The Dead Zone." She's Kevin Spacey in "House of Cards."

I.Do.Not.Trust.That.Woman. I do not trust her conniving, rapist husband. I do not trust the people around her. I do not trust her in national security issues. I do not trust her making national deals that personally benefit her. She'd sell this country down the river for an extra few million in the personal bank account.

"Forthright"? Really? Hilary has been in the public eye for a couple of decades not and that may well be the first time I've ever seen that term used used in describing her (barring satire pieces).

There is ONE area in which I believe she has been forthright and that's when she asks voters to support her because she'd be the first female president. She's definitely forthright when it comes to that topic!

Wow. That is absolutely fascinating.

Could you please list for me the politicians you don't think are 'politically evil'?

That would be super if you could name some names.

The fact that a candidate who can barely tell the truth 50% of the time is the ethical beacon of the race is the problem (and let me just say, let's not pretend she's a clear winner even in that category -- she's basically neck-and-neck with Kasich and Sanders). That's pathetic, and people are tired of the best choice being someone who still has fewer morals than the worst person most of us know in our own lives.

And even if we ignore everything else about Hillary, she ran what was probably the most out-rightly fraudulent campaign that's ever occurred in my lifetime.

And finally, I am really ****ing tired of snivelling party hacks telling me I'm a sexist for not liking a politician who commits fraud and lies 50% of the time, as reported by the Pulitzer prize-winning fact-checking project, after I've spent my entire post-pubescent life championing women's rights, supporting feminist candidates, petitioning Warren to run, and even defending Hillary against the many real sexist attacks that have been launched at her.

Hillary just put up a VP who wants to make it harder for poor and young women to get abortions, and I'm the sexist? I am going to lose my mind if one more empty-headed Democrat sheep tells me I'm a sexist for not supporting a woman who throws other women under the bus to win her stupid crown. Here's my middle finger, Daily Kos. Swivel on it.

Hilary is somewhat right of center when it comes to foreign policy and left of center on everything else. Thats why she's hated by both sides. She does NOT embrace the marxist worldview of American power but she does embrace the marxist worldview on everything else. She's a typical sanctimonious liberal who thinks she knows how everyone else should live their lives and utilizes the liberal tools of identity politics and class warfare with gusto.

She's also a power hungry liar who rides a broom. She is not fit for any public office.

There are a lot that I don't necessarily think were "evil." That includes democrats like Carter, Kennedy and even Bill Clinton.
