A beefed-up White House legal team is gearing up to prevent President Trump’s confidential discussions with top advisers from being disclosed to House Democratic investigators and revealed in the special counsel’s long-awaited report, setting the stage for a potential clash between the branches of government.

The strategy to strongly assert the president’s executive privilege on both fronts is being developed under newly arrived White House Counsel Pat Cipollone, who has hired 17 lawyers in recent weeks to help in the effort.
AG has the right to decide prior to releasing information what will become public.

Makes sense but wait for the legal arguments submitted to SCOTUS

I think this Admin will go all the way to SCOTUS to prevent information being made public

So, the defense has turned from we are innocent into, you aren't allowed to see what we did?

Trump hasn't even been pretending to be innocent for like six months now.

Smart lawyers would have been working on this a year or longer ago

Problem is Trump has screwed that up.

Just the reality of Presidential advisors being interviewed by Mueller. They agreed that Executive Privilege could be invoked at any time.

Thing is, many overlooked this and as the report may and I stress may be coming before end March, now they recall the agreements made with Mueller by Trumps legal team

Who’s leading the charge, Giuliani?

Who’s leading the charge, Giuliani?
Yes, please.

Giuliani is a real live version of posters who embody this video:

Sent from Trump Plaza's basement using Putin's MacBook.

Who’s leading the charge, Giuliani?

The Carnival Barker has a sideshow, like in those old Westerns, selling miracle spirits to the rubes

Who hires 17 new lawyers? Might need some of that 5.7 billion for legal fees.....

Trumps fund raising pays the legal fees, all above board and permitted under the law

Haha, think the RNC is footing the bill for this one. Time to fund raise!

More cover-up. It's one thing to argue that what one did isn't unlawful, imprudent, etc. Making such a case at least is an understandable tack. The notion that "such and such" that happens in the WH, when Congress or the DoJ ask, be not disclosed is a whole different matter. This White House and president seem not to understand that they work for the people of the US and members of Congress are the people's chosen representatives.

"If you're not guilty of a crime, what do you need immunity for?"

- Donald Trump, Swine in Chief.

Hey, now, it happened last time. That's precedent, that is.

Rosenstein never gave in to Congressional subpoenas for two years, but he is now leaving since he is getting a new boss who will not take any more crap out of him.
