Nope... A person's vote is their vote. Votes are not preordained to where others think they should go.
Totally disagree. As long as the US has this voting system , the president will either be republican or democrat. There will never be a libertarian or Green president. In Australia they have a preferential system. You can vote third party and if they don't get enough first preference votes, then your second or third preference is counted. This way you can lodge a protest vote if you are unhappy with the major party candidate and still prevent the far right conservatives from being elected.
