A Barak Obama type of candidate for 2020?

I also voted for Johnson in the 2016 general election (Rubio in the TX primary). There is no way that I would vote for Hillary who stands for absolutely nothing but cashing in on having government power.

You and I voted exactly the same way in 2016.:mrgreen:

I would only vote for her against that menace in the Oval Office.

320 million US citizens, and those two were the best we had? Ugh.

They can't convince his cult not to vote for him anymore than they could convince Jim Jones's cult not to guzzle Cyanide laced Kool-Aid. Luckily his cult only makes up about 35% of the voters. The other 65% are smarter.

The problem is getting that 65% to vote. In 2016 only 58% of the voting population voted that 35% votes if we have the same dismal turnout that only leaves 20-30% on the other side.
I was part of the turn out the vote in Georgia. On election day you would not believe the shenanigans that went on with provisional ballots and poll foolishness.
We not only have to turn out we have to make sure every person that turns out gets to exercise their legal right.
For instance you shouldn't be told sorry your not on the rolls and we ran out of provisional ballots this morning. Better luck next time.
Or when you request a mail in ballot weeks before the election you should get one it shouldn't be based on party affiliation.

If what happened in the midterms is any indication, Trump and the Republicans are in big trouble in 2020.

The republicants running up the national debt during rosy (Trump would say "the rosiest by far, let me tell you, in all of human history") economic times while ignoring many other 'issues' should get that result. You can lead a horse to water...

You need to run for POTUS, ttwtt. I'd support you!

Not a chance - the closest to a government job that I would even consider accepting is as a building code inspector. Even that is hampered by morons that want to let developers place houses 10' apart.

Yep, and that led to congress critters being re-elected, yet again, at a rate of over 90%.

I dunno... Maybe of the incumbents that ran again it was over 90%. So many incumbents retired this time that if they were included... I don't think it'd reach 90% incumbency rate.

I hope so. We need a party in power that can actually govern, that actually although not popular does what needs to be done knowing they will be voted out all the while knowing once the policies are in place and start working they will be voted back in.
I'm tired of hearing tax cuts, tax cuts, that seems to be Republicans only plan. Cut taxes.

I'm curious as to whether Trump will stick to his tried and true strategy of trying to energize the racists. And how well it will work this time out, now that everyone realizes exactly what he's doing.

Even the "great blue wave" was only a "flip" of 38 out of 435 seats and that was with more than 40 not seeking re-election. Obviously, incumbency is required for re-election. Note that I said re-election rate - not incumbency rate (but the two are close none the less).

"I got cancer!"
"Here, tub some tax cuts on it."

Yeah but it was still at about 90%.
Only 21 Republican incumbents actually lost their seats.

I have just visited the POLITICO website.

1. It claims that many Dems want that Texas congressman Beto O'Rourke to run for president in 2020.

I think that he would win easily because he is similar to how Senator Obama was.

a. He is young
b. He is slender.
c. He is handsome (notice how many females give him adoring looks).
d. He is very liberal.
e. He is an inspiring speaker.

2. Politico also says that polls show that most people do NOT want President Trump to be impeached (and convicted), but most people DO want someone else in the White House starting in 2021.

I think that it is highly probable that President Trump will join Presidents George Herbert Walker Bush and James Carter as a one-term president. But what a one term it was! He has nothing to be ashamed of. He has and will have accomplished a lot of good things for our country.
You left out:

f. Even with virtually bottomless funds from democratic mega-donors he lost to Ted Cruz. :cool:

"I got cancer!"
"Here, tub some tax cuts on it."

No they say it was your choice to get cancer so deal with it.
Kids do not get cancer only obese smokers.
Remember everything that happens or doesn't happen is your fault.

As an aside the "great blue wave" did quite a bit...

  • Looks like 40+ house seats will have flipped
  • 7 Governor seats flipped
  • 7 new state legislation majorities
  • 5 republican supermajorities in state legislatures broken
  • 4 AG seats flipped
  • 4 State Treasurer seats flipped
  • 2 Secretary of State seats flipped
  • 2 Senate seats flipped
  • 380 state legislative seats flipped

Wow. Look at all those lost seats in 2 short years. What a disaster.

C'mon

Defend Trump ripping off our Vets. Or our you so brainwashed you wont even condem such a scum bag move by Trump?

I have Vets in my immediate family and none are saying anything about it. Sure your info is correct?

You certainly are obsessed with Marxism. It appears to be a common theme of yours, something seen in nearly every thread.

I see it festering in our society. Much like it did in other countries before the tilting point.

He's an idiot
He's got nothing to run on but bull****
He's a socialist twit
Heaven forbid we elect another fool who has no ideas, thinks Government is the answer moron

Pretty much standard clap-trap you'd say about any dem you know nothing about.

You have an issue with the man coming from a wealthy family?

As for the dental issue, that can be fixed. Trumps narcissistic personality can not.

Hilarious. The trumpsters are attacking Beto O'Rourke cos his father is a billionaire. But they praise trump whose father was a billionaire.

And then they attack Beto because he has bad teeth. Have these deplorables seen trump's fake teeth? And what about that hair!!! He refused to attend a WW1 memorial service because he was worried the rain would mess up his hair.

Here's what a REAL leader looks like. Not afraid of a bit of rain!OBAMA AND BETO IN THE RAIN.jpg

Scary? Not really, when you consider what she was running against. I voted fro Johnson, but I would absolutely vote for her, as ghastly as she is, over Trump if the election in 2020 was the same as it was in 2016.

Trump better start changing his adult diaper soon. Some of those states he won don't look promising at all for the GOP in 2020. Look at the disaster in Wisconsin.

Sorry to say this - but anyone who wasted their vote on third party in 2016 actually helped trump. There were some states where the votes that went to Jill Stein could have helped Hillary win. And now we know Stein was a russian agent as well. She ran purely to help trump.

Nope... A person's vote is their vote. Votes are not preordained to where others think they should go.

Be has ZERO "Real World" experience;

Has never made a living ANYWHERE BUT THE PUBLIC TEAT, much less EVER RAN A BUSINESS;

Took "poli-sci" instead of a HARD SCIENCE, "law" instead of MEDICINE/( or engineering/business management), or some other such lightweight crap in college, because he lacks the math skills for any SERIOUS academic undertaking;

Is a great snake oil saleman, whichm as leftists LOVE having smoke blown up their asses, is their immediate darling;

His completely unmasculine nature/mannerisms, calls his sexuality into question...his entire life.

Preaches socialist BULL****, while never liquidating his own wealth to "redistribute".

trump has ZERO real world experience. He was raised with a silver spoon up his butt. The only places he goes to are Mar-lar-go , golf resorts and private meetings with Russians.

And as for business experience - trump has declared bankruptcy FOUR times and most of his businesses have gone belly up. He couldn't even run a casino properly!!!
