See!

All the more reason for the NRA to protest this shooting!

You know who isn't protesting mass shootings?

The NRA.

Oh and the Congressional NRA lapdogs.
That's kind of strange, isn't it? I never really thought about that before.

Funny...i don't see BLM protesting Black on Black violence.
Here ya go!

Don't you think it's strange, though? I thought the NRA's niche was safety and responsibility? I'd think they'd want to speak up. If we don't get this under control, the NRA isn't going to like the eventual outcome. Because this bullshit cannot stand, RV.

Hi, Common Sense 1.

Thank you for taking time to respond to my post.

Regards, stay sage 'n well . . . 'n un-shot.

If you had to bet money, would you say the suspects lean toward BLM or the NRA?

Could we please leave BLM out of it for two minutes?
You got any ideas why the NRA is so silent about the people abusing their gun ownership?

What is it you think they should be saying? From my prospective the NRA isn’t being silent and proof would be they are still the go to boogeyman of anyone supporting questionable gun control laws. What I think is actually happening is the NRA is not saying what you want it to say, and in turn their statements are being ignored or flying under your radar

I guess you're right. If they can't blame Democratic policy, they suggest more guns. Neither of which helps. If more guns helped, we'd be having fewer mass shootings, not more.

Looks like we got the NRA apologist and NRA loving folks all stoked up MaryP.

I own a gun.

It has never shot anyone. If I don't pick it up and cary it, it pretty much just stays where I left it.
Someone put a camera on his AR 15. it recorded for well over a year. The rifle never ever left it's place, nor did it ever shoot anyone

You know who is not doing the mass shootings? NRA members!!!!
But those rogue shooters are they or are they not good for the NRA and its policies against more gun laws and the deregulation of guns that they want?

If good people with guns is the answer to bad people with guns wouldn't good people with guns protesting bad people with guns also be an answer?

that's sort of the treatment a burglar would get-not a mass shooter

the people whose agenda are most "helped" by criminals with guns are those who want to make anyone who owns a gun a criminal

If only they would limit their messaging to their members! But NRA is on the national stage, in the halls of Washington, and everywhere a potential gun owner might hear them. Buy more, they say, gun control doesn't work.

Part of the solution I have seen is also more penalties and getting them to stick. It’s counter productive to on one hand make tough laws to combat gun violence, then on the other say it’s not the criminals fault systematic racism, poor education, and social or economic hardship lead him to this lifestyle. And a therapy program is used instead of jail

HAMPTON, S.C. (AP) — Authorities in South Carolina say they are investigating shooting at a nightclub in Hampton County early Sunday that left at least nine people injured. It was the second mass shooting in the state over the Easter holiday weekend, and the third in the nation.

The South Carolina shootings and one in Pittsburgh that left two minors dead early Sunday at least 31 people injured.

South Carolina’s State Law Enforcement Division is investigating the early Sunday shooting at Cara’s Lounge in Hampton County. The agency said in an email there were no reported fatalities. No information was immediately available on the severity of the injuries. Hampton County is roughly 80 miles (about 129 kilometers) west of Charleston. A phone call to the nightclub was not answered.

In Pittsburgh, meanwhile , two minors were killed an d at least eight people were injured during a shooting at a house party. The shooting, which followed an altercation, happened around 12:30 a.m. during a party at a short-term rental property where hundreds of people had gathered — the “vast majority” of them underage, Chief Scott Schubert of the Pittsburgh police department told reporters.

What do you see in common with those shootings?

I'll give you a hint. Its not 'the guns'. 400 million of them, legally owned, in the hands of approx 180 million law abiding citizens of all races, both genders, democrats and republicans. Its not a lack of background checks. Its not "ghost guns". Its not high capacity magazines.

Until people are willing to address the problem, this will continue.

I wonder if alcohol was involved in both shootings
Maybe. But I would guess that there was another common factor, one other than the presence of a gun(s).

;)

More gun control will NOT work. There are existing laws...and when the existing laws are being violated how can you think MORE laws will make a difference?

These 'mass shootings'...who is doing them?
