Can you bleive that 800belive no and 7thousend 700 something out of the 10thousend who voted think their is a cover up

It's easy to believe. People always respond negatively when questioned about how much they trust their government. That's to be expected. Plus the question could mean different things to different people. Doesn't necessarily mean that everyone who voted for the cover up believes extreme conspiracy theories behind 9/11. Some might just think the government is lying in order to cover up what a crap job they did handling the whole thing in general. Others might think flight 93 was shot down by our own military. And the list goes on and on all the way up to the relatively few who believe the government orchestrated the whole thing. Basically the question on its own doesn't take any measure of "how big" the cover up they believe in is.

And let's not forget the major disclaimer they have:

"This QuickVote is not scientific and reflects the opinions of only those Internet users who have chosen to participate. The results cannot be assumed to represent the opinions of Internet users in general, nor the public as a whole." (emphasis added)

Are you aware that there are forums similar to this that actively pursue getting thier members to chime in on polls like this one. Those that are the best at it are liberal sites who make no qualms about flooding these kinds of polls with votes for the sole purpose of getting gullible people to belive their POV is what your average Joe American believes. If you'd like I can point you to the biggest one of the bunch.

That's a lot of DUmmies.

Would the bolded letters DU in your post be referring to Democratic Underground by any chance? :2razz:

I was referring to a forum that is so rabidly liberal that any posters who don't tow the liberal line are automatically banned. A forum where complete compliance is a must. A forum where deception like flooding polls is encouraged. Would that fit the description of this "Democratic Underground" you speak of?

The DU, and sites like it, are a clear indication of what Liberals REALLY think about the Freedom of Speech.

I never visited that site before but I didn't know they were strong proponents of the 9/11 Conspiracy.

Moveon.org is CNN's sister site? I always considered CNN a fairly reputable NEWS organization as FOX NEWS is.

Well we agree on most issues but we will have to agree to disagree on thiis one....Can you name me one Conservative personality that has his show on CNN or appears on a regular basis?

FOX News Liberal Personalities that have their own show or appear regularly on Hannity and Colmes........

Allen Colmes, Gret Vanstrusten Mort Kondracke (own Shows)

Juan Williams, Bob Becal, Mora Lyasson (not sure of the spelling)

On Hannity and Colmes they have Liberal guests on every night.......

When CNN turns to a format like that I will give them some slack and I watch CNN a lot because I want to know what the left is thinking........

This is a poll of CNN viewers. Of course I can believe that. CNN viewers are the ones who weren't smart enough to get off the short bus when it became obvious that the station was overwhelmingly biased for liberals.

Acting baffled by CNN viewers overwhelmingly buying into a conspiracy theory is like acting shocked over a FOX poll that shows 80% of people want secure borders, sane sex offender laws, and a government willing to actually do something about foreign threats. Liberals operate on conspiracy theories and hysteria...OF COURSE they accept 9/11 conspiracy theories.

THANK YOU!!! :agree :rock
It's difficult to explain to liberals that they can go to CNN and watch Joe Lieberman debate Howard Dean, moderated by a former Democrat operative turned journalist...or they can go to FOX and watch a Democrat debate with a Republican;

it is difficult to get them to grasp that Fox's willingness to show two sides to a story (gasp) doesn't make them the freaking anti-christ;

it's difficult because liberals like to regurgitate far left web site rhetoric (which can usually be easily disproved with something as simple as an UN-edited transcript) instead of actually watching it and deciding for themselves.

Nope, I can't tell you of any liberal personality either, since I have never detected a show on that network to have a strictly political motive.

FOX News Liberal Personalities that have their own show or appear regularly on Hannity and Colmes........
........so that they can be shouted down by Hannity.

Allen Colmes, Gret Vanstrusten Mort Kondracke (own Shows)
Alan Colmes has his own show on Faux????? Since when? And, Greta's show is politically motivated? I think not!

Juan Williams, Bob Becal, Mora Lyasson (not sure of the spelling)
Never heard of them.

.....because Hannity needs somebody to shout at.

CNN has news, and News specials... but NO Political pundit shows that I have ever seen. Yes, they talk about politics, and bring in "opposing views" personalities to debate each other, but I have not seen any "show" that is solely political in nature, like Hannity and Bill-O

Can someone translate this for me??????

Be careful Caine (or is that Da caine), as you are starting to sound a bit like me, there.

The question is:

Do you believe there is a U.S. government cover-up surrounding 9/11?

That's 'A' cover up. Not a specific cover-up, like those suggested in these forums. It could mean anything like, for example, having information about the bombers before the attacks but not admitting to that now.

If the question said:

Do you believe the the U.S. government backed/caused the 9/11 bombings?

Then we might see a different result.

Who owns CNN?

The DU is a classic example of the herd mentality that some people seem to follow. Opposition to established "doctrine" is grounds for banishment, anything other than the accepted pre-ordained thougth patterns is simply unacceptable. The people who run that place are the worst examples of the left that exist. They give sane liberals a REALLY bad rep. Unfortunately, these kind of people are becoming the most vocal part of the left, leaving the "silent majority" to try to pick up the pieces.
The right has some of the same issues, but nothing to this extreme. The loudmouths on the right are nowhere near as radicalized as the loudmouths on the left. Limbaugh and Coulter are about the furthest out voices from the right and they're nowhere near as extreme as people like Ward Churchhill, Moore, or Franken.

I won't address the Generalities but I will address the bolded......

Well lets see, Liberals like Soledad Obrien, Wolfe Blitzer, Paula Zahn, Larry King, Anderson Cooper, Margaret Carlson, Paul Begala, should I go on?

They use to have 3 Conservatives in Robert Novak, Tucker Carlson and Pat Buchanan, but they have either been fired or moved on to other networks.....
