74 children executed by ISIS for 'crimes' that include refusal to fast

What I think is that Saddam Hussein recognized the dangers of Islamic extremism, much like western leadership understands the dangers of Christian extremists. As a matter of fact, Hussein, Mubarak, Gaddafi and Assad all did, and contained it quite well. They have been removed however, a bipartisan effort between Obama and Bush, and the horrific result is unfolding before us. Years and years of failed USFP in the region is responsible for the rise of the Islamic State, not the ideology.

Obamabots don't hear you, they only hear the word of their Messiah........Barack.

True, Obamabots, and Bushrats never heard the truth, only the words of their messiahs, respectively.

??????????????????

Oh, these numbers of killings by ISIS are not the information we should take at face value. Moreover, I don't believe their killing videos. And here is even no videos at all.

This is the worst attempt at justifying the Iraq invasion that I've ever seen. Thanks for the chuckle.

It might be a chuckle if it wasn't perhaps the greatest foreign policy blunder in our lifetime, if not American history.

$2 to 6 trillion of expense (I guess that includes Afghanistan as well, so we get a twofer in cost), 4,500 Americans killed, tens of thousands physically or emotionally wounded, 100,000+ Iraq lives and a total unstable middle east just to knock off a two-bit dictator. Now there is value for you.

Blame where blame is due: Bush broke it; Obama has not been able to fix it.

PS: any person that tells you Iraq was worth it, has no credibility in complaining about government spending, deficits or debt.

Allah's Snackbar wasnt open....so they decided to murder some children?

Religion of Peace.

Yea we should have just let terrorists murder Americans with no retaliation. What a stup(id)endous message that sends.

Iraq had NOTHING to do with terrorists murdering Americans.

The only reference I made to Afghanistan was to acknowledge that the cost $2 to 6 trillion was actually the cost of both wars.... Its the Iraq war (and the Afghanistan occupation) with which I take issue.

ISIS has murdered Americans as well. We are nutless and gutless under Progressive rule.

All the psychopaths stayed in Israel and the West. :lamo

Circular reasoning.... I was taking to task George Bush for breaking Iraq in the first place.

Without our adventures in Iraq, its hard to argue we would be worried about ISIS today. Again, Iraq had NOTHING to do with murdering Americans. Reasonable beings cannot justify the cost of our unilateral attack and occupation of Iraq, with ISIS being a wonderful illustration of the consequences (and therefore cost) thereof.

Con man rule was no better.

WASHINGTON, Sept. 23 — A stark assessment of terrorism trends by American intelligence agencies has found that the American invasion and occupation of Iraq has helped spawn a new generation of Islamic radicalism and that the overall terrorist threat has grown since the Sept. 11 attacks.

Yea it was better to let a brutal dictator keep murdering and oppressing his own people.

Do Progressives EVER believe in doing good?

Welcome to the insanity that allowed ISIS to flourish and grow.

Welcome to the consequences of neocon insanity. The U.S. has never been a power destined for world domination. All we can do is make radicalism worse.

Uh, then why did ISIS wait until AFTER we left to cause problems? To say that occupying Iraq is responsible for ISIS is more "blame Bush" bull ****ING **** and intellectually dishonest AT BEST.

ISIS exists because we LEFT. Stop PRETENDING otherwise.

Hey steady on. You mean, I'm quite sure, "isolatinist" in the place of the word "progressive"?

Surely?

how unusual to encounter double-speak on pro-ME wars thread.

ISIS exist because you went there in the first place.

Is that what you think the Iraqi's feel about our invasion now? They were as well off as the could be under Saddam and we proved that.

Partisan bull****. Obama's policies in the region have been hugely beneficial to Islamic extremists, there's no doubt and I'm very critical of him for it. You just can't show the same integrity by accepting Bush's failures before him!

The group (the Islamic State in Iraq) originated as Jama'at al-Tawhid wal-Jihad in 1999, which pledged allegiance to al-Qaeda in 2004. The group participated in the Iraqi insurgency, which had followed the March 2003 invasion of Iraq by Western forces. In January 2006, it joined other Sunni insurgent groups to form the Mujahideen Shura Council, which proclaimed the formation of the Islamic State of Iraq (ISI) in October 2006.

ISIS exist because you went there in the first place.

There is no evidence of that...probably because it didnt happen. They were hiding out in Syria.

And they stopped ****ing goats in caves and started raping women left and right out in the open when we LEFT.

Your problem, and the problem of all lefty progressive scum, is that America is always YOUR enemy.

Im not even a fan of Bush but youre right, Obama has been a disaster in the middle east and in general. But you guys said we were crazy because we said he wasnt qualified to be President. But he can organize communities you said.

Thanks for proving that invasion didnt cause ISIS....considering they existed in 1999.
