Not a Bahraini any longer: the Manama government has revoked the citizenship of 72 people for taking part in protests against Al Khalifa rulers.
The 72 have been convicted of QUOTE harming the interests of the kingdom in demonstrations that started in 2011. Officials say revoking the nationality of the convicts is part of measures to QUOTE fight the danger of terrorist threats. Bahrain is rocked by protests against the long rule of the Al Khalifa dynasty. Manama forces have crushed dissent using force. Scores of people have lost their lives and hundreds injured since protests broke out.
