I miss it. I miss the sci-fi movies from the 70's. I miss how weird and strange and bizarre and out-there they were. How purely counter-cultural sci-fi was.

The advent of CGI and over focus on special effects has diminished the quality of story content. I think because of the limited effects they could add more interest had to be put into the script. Now they can't seem to find that magical balance of story and scenery.
