7.5 earthquake in Mexico

That's in the "ring of fire." Sad news. :( Between this one, the one in Chile a couple of weeks ago and the ones in LA a few weeks ago - scary stuff. Makes you wonder why they've become more active as of late.

Better reporting. There are hundreds of thousands of earthquakes per year, maybe millions. Only few of those are felt and fewer actually cause damage. Besides, the LA quakes weren't anything of real concern. Here, they'd get maybe a five line article on one or two news websites at most.
