63 Republicans vote against resolution expressing support for NATO

4.5.22
More than 60 Republicans on Tuesday voted against a resolution expressing support for NATO and calling on President Joe Biden to strengthen the organization's committement to defending democracy. The resolution, introduced by Rep. Gerald Connolly, a Democrat from Virginia, was backed by a majority of the GOP caucus and every Democrat who voted. Citing the threat posed by "authoritarian regimes" as well as "internal threats from proponents of illiberalism," the resolution calls on the Biden administration to uphold NATO's "founding democratic principles." It also advocates the creation of a "Center for Democratic Resilience" within NATO's headquarters in Brussels, with the center providing member states assistance to strengthen their own democratic institutions. Republicans who voted against Tuesday's resolution included most of Trump's most loyal defenders in Congress, among them: Reps. Lauren Boebert of Colorado; Madison Cawthorn of North Carolina; Matt Gaetz of Florida; Paul Gosar of Arizona; Marjorie Taylor-Greene of Georgia; and Jim Jordan of Ohio.

63 Trump-Kremlin Republicans refuse to support the NATO alliance.

It didn't stop there either. 6 Trump-Kremlin Republicans want to make it more difficult to document Putin's war crimes in Ukraine.....

6 GOP House members opposed a bill meant to document and preserve evidence of war crimes during Russia's invasion of Ukraine

With the GOPs fully engaged in their phony smear-a-thon, DEMs have 211 days until 11/8 to smear these gop traitors as the face and platform of the gop.

Do you want to Impeach Biden or not, have Hunter probes or 1/6 probes, Maxine or Marjorie, support Ukraine or not? McCarthy can’t be Speaker without this trump traitorous filth.

A body at rest tends to stay at rest unless acted upon by an outside force. Apparently, being trampled underfoot by Rep/cons isn't enough to get the Dems up from lying down on the job to do anything in response to being acted upon by the Rep/cons. Finally, I did see a single ray of light from behind the Trump/Rep/con traitorous assault on democracy the other day:

DNC Chairman Jaime Harrison slams Tom Cotton as a 'little maggot-infested man' after the Republican senator suggested Ketanji Brown Jackson would defend Nazis (msn.com)

After yrs of GOP lies and mis/disinformation, someone, if only one, points to the naked lie that is the GOP. Nonetheless, the Rep/cons are stomping the **** out of the Dems and democracy while the Dems say next to nothing about it.

This is the kinda statement that needs to be made DAILY.

Moral high ground is nice but it's not winning elections.

The Trump cult would vote against a resolution to support democracy, complaining it was cancel-culture because such is known as a liberal democracy, which form of govt Trump and Putin denounced together at a G7 summit a few yrs ago.

DEMs have more tents than GOPs, and they’re more diverse. They’re always disinterested in mid-terms. If black women don’t turn out in huge numbers in key house and senate races, DEMs are in trouble. How should they feel after being this disrespected and getting KBJ on the USSC?

What is wrong with those idiots-other than they're 'republicans'?

The Dems need to show the public a lot more interest. Every day. They need to go to war against voter suppression. The higher the turnout of minority voters, the greater likelihood of Dems getting voted into office. Do the work of registering voters and getting them to the polls.
