United States Coronavirus: 6,828,301 Cases and 201,348 Deaths - Worldometer
Behind the numbers:
The four biggest states have the most cases--in order.
Small states like AZ, GA, AL and TN did poorly
California is doing better than Texas, as both states have nearly identical numbers of cases and deaths but Cali has 10 million more people.
Florida, Louisiana and Mississippi have the most cases per capita.
NY, NJ and MA probably over-counted their COVID deaths....Louisiana, RI and Connecticut too perhaps.
Average number of deaths per million is actually low: 600, a little over 1 person out of 1500.
Average number of cases in the US is 21 per 1000--that's basically 1 person out of 50.
Deaths per active cases is roughly 3%
Deaths per day is holding steady at roughly 1000 (w/ 350M people, that's 1 death per 350,000).
Number of new cases has been trending down, from peaks around 75,000 to the 40's today.
