And most of the Republicans who begrudge helping immigrant/refugee children don't want to help American homeless either.
But thank you for providing what has become a common forum mantra. If the thread is about nonAmericans, talk about how we need to help our own. If the thread is about helping our own, talk about how we can't afford to or about how they got themselves into their predicament and if they really want out they can do it without government help.

You have misplaced anger...
Trump asked Congress for something like $5.7 billion to build wall/barriers/fences along the Mexican border in addition to asking for more border patrol agents, more immigration judges and officials, more detention space, aka "concentration camps", more humanitarian assistance, more medical support and it's the obstructionist, inhumane Democrats who are doing nothing to help improve conditions at our southern borders because they insist their is no border crisis.
So save the phony outrage for someone who buys it.
Yes, the only thing that is phony in this equation is Donald Trump, and your lies.
Children are dying on his watch, and you, Trump, and all of your ilk, don't give a damn.
Congress offered Trump $25 billion for all of that and more, but Trump turned it down because it contained provisions to help DACA/dreamers.

Trump is a despicable human being of staggering incompetence, who almost sent america spiraling into a disastrous war with Iran, a man with a long history of sexual misconduct including rape, screwing thousands out of millions, denying health care to a baby relative, money laundering, bank fraud, insurance fraud and the list is long.

I remember when Obama went to congress in 2014 asking them to support his immigration overhaul. He said, and I quote, "The failure of House Republicans to pass a darn bill is bad for our security, it's bad for our economy, and it's bad for our future." It's not much different for Trump now who has tried to do the same for our security, our economy, our future....
Democrats offered him 25 billion. He turned it down ... because it was going to keep one of his promises ... to help DACA recipients. Couldn't have that. Well, the Freedom Caucus couldn't have that. And like he did with healthcare, he turned his back on his humane promises in order to keep his inhumane base happy.
Most everyone’s heard of the oath given at trials that compels a witness to “tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.” It should be noted that the oath purposely distinguishes the gulf between “the truth” and the “whole truth.” That’s because, in many cases, a partial truth is also a partial lie.
This is exactly the case with the all-too-common assertion that Sen. Chuck Schumer once offered President Trump $25 billion in border wall funds in exchange for legalizing the nation’s roughly 1.8 million DACA recipients and 3.5 million Dreamers, but the White House opposed it. Well, that’s the truth, but it is certainly far from the whole truth. And as the Yiddish proverb says, “A half-truth is a whole lie.”
The actual measure put forth by Schumer’s office in February 2018 offered the wall money in exchange for the aforementioned amnesty, but then the senator’s staff inserted a hand-written provision that would have restricted immigration enforcement. This exclusively protected violent criminals and terrorists while also – and this is an enormous “also” – instituted an official enforcement holiday – amnesty – at the border and in the interior of the nation for any and everyone who would arrive in the U.S. in the following five months, through June 2018.
Had the president agreed to this, it would have created an amnesty loophole large enough to drive a bus through and would have triggered a caravan from Central America that would have dwarfed anything we can imagine. Of course the president, or anyone who cares about immigration enforcement or public safety in this country, rejected the sneaky offer. And Schumer’s staff knew they would.

There has been a real uptick in people showing up sick on the border. In one center they had to quarantine it last week because of an outbreak of mumps and measles. There's also been an increase in Tuberculosis cases and lice. Many of these kids have not been vaccinated. They have been sleeping on the ground for weeks. They have not been eating properly. They are often dehydrated. This month at the border the temp averages have been in the 90's.
For months now border patrol have been crying for help. The influx is so great they can't handle it. Trump asked for funds months ago because they needed more beds and accommodations. By law they have to detain these people. He asked for funds to increase the number of judges so that these people could be processed more quickly. But Democrats said there was no crisis on the border and Pelosi has failed to bring the funding to the floor for a vote. And no one has suffered more monetarily than the cities on the southern border. The burden for them has been great.
