Here-to-fore there has been no shortage of hair-pulling over caravans of asylum seekers from Honduras, most falsely claiming to be victims of persecution from random criminals and abusive husbands - the so-called persecution in normal course usually mitigated by moving out of the house or simply moving to a new town. Nope, for these folks moving out of the house or the hood means HEY LETS MOVE TO AMERICA.

And the gaggle of Democrats, NGO's, sanctuary groups, hundreds of sanctuary cities, and the entire state of California make a special effort to let them know "Please do, its safe to move here and we will protect you". In fact, some are these groups are so eager so as to fund and/or facilitate the caravanning and includes the Catholic Legal Immigration Network, the American Immigration Council, the American Immigration Lawyers Association and others (several being Soros funded).

Yet, there is a curious silence from these "humanitarian" groups - where are these border crashing promoters when it comes to the far more serious case of 3,000,000 Venezuelan refugees? Throughout last summer and fall (and before) millions of Venezuelans have fled the collapsing socialist utopia. There isn't any doubt about their persecution based on their political affiliation and class status but curiously none of the left wing groups are promoting or facilitating them to avoid asylum in Mexico and, instead, enter the US (legally and otherwise).

IF the asylum sob sisters were sincere, wouldn't the Venezuelans be the first in-line for attention; millions fleeing the socialist tyranny and kleptocratic oligarchy, those fleeing outright starvation?

Of course, there is a difference. For the hypocritical open border left the last human being on earth deserving of asylum is anyone who is a victim of the their fellow leftists ideology, the one-party state socialists. Nope, its entirely political, is it not? You see, they know (as does everyone) that refugees from a right-wing government will, once naturalized, vote progressive. But they also know that victims of socialist hell-holes view the American left brethren to their tormentors, and they tend to vote anti-communist and anti-progressive (e.g. first and second generation Cubans).

Well then, let us at least end the hypocrisy. If importing voters is the game, then I fully support immediate asylum for the 3 million victims of socialism. Let us organize caravans, lets us weep for the children, let us have a flood of tear jerking stories in the MSM, and let them flood the border demanding detention within the borders of the US...

Do you really believe that? A few facts to contemplate:


- More than 750 million people worldwide want to leave their home nations for jobs and free stuff elsewhere, from caravansters clambering over the Texas border to Africans crossing the Mediterranean to reach Europe. The so-called "racist" and "white privileged" United States is the overwhelming top choice of the world's people of color hunting for jobs and/or the taxpayer funded dole.

- According to a world-wide Gallup poll, 158 million people would immigrate to the US if they could, mostly from Africa and Latin America (in that order).

- Pew Research Center which revealed that up to two-thirds of the 1.1 billion population of sub-Saharan Africa — a number set to more than double by 2050 — were wanting to migrate to Europe or the U.S., millions of whom were planning on making the journey within the next five years.

So, are you then saying we ought to import (for example) 30 million impoverished a year for five years, so as to make America a better place to live for those already here? Or are you saying we need 158 million of he worlds least educated and most ungifted? Or are you just saying that the dire needs and wants of those 158 million are more important than meeting the needs and wants of heritage born Americans?

Do you have a clue on the economic, social, cultural and environmental impact of such an accommodation? Do you care?

Your post was full of paranoia and included the favorite, right wing strawman, "free stuff" and their favorite boogeyman, socialism. Thus, any advocacy within was overshadowed by that dishonest characterization of the issue. This is not a problem for the left alone and wanting to help people does not mean you're a hypocrite if you don't welcome all needy people into your house.

I will admit that an open border would be disastrous for many Americans. That being said, it is ONLY the left who seems to understand that globalizing money is what has created much of this drama. We can't have free trade without it subjecting peasants to competition with American corporations, who can afford to operate at a loss long enough to drive the locals out of business, creating refugees. That is exactly what's happened in many markets.

If you want to call someone out, call out the corporate and political colonialists who created this, not the people who admit they are powerless to stop it.
