Donald Trump day 1 inherited a righted ship. Yes the great ship USA was smooth sailing with a growing economy. But within 3 plus years of taking the reigns, donald has driven this ship aground. Trump has squandered his chance, lost savvy, educated cabinet members, replaced with under- qualified to no qualification lackeys.

Trump inherited a strong, growing economy and stock market and now we are heading towards 20% unemployment and huge market losses. And tax payer bailouts to rescue him and hopefully ourselves. V

The biggest blunder trump was dissolving the advanced pandemic team. Yes
Bolton pulled the trigger on this, but trump appointed and directed him.

Why is the above the biggest blunder?

It began a cascade of trump blunders creating a more damaging crisis than it should have been. The dismantling of the advanced pandemic team was the first in a series of events propagated by trump that lead our country in a series crisis involving covid 19 and a financial disaster.

Trump obviously did not recognize the value of the above mentioned pandemic team. trump then continued his devaluation of epidemiology experts and refused their advice, downplayed covid 19 severity and casually threw out hoax rhetoric. Quite frankly trump seriously hurt initial responses and poisoned the thought processes of the American citizens about covid 19.

The stock market recognized trump's flip flopping, disinformation, blundering and stocks crashed.

Trump's lack of leadership and with no handle on virus initially lead businesses, hospitals, others deciding without clear guidance: should we stay open, should we close, should we have employees stay home? Bottom line people out of work many without pay and businesses not taking in revenue has seriously damaged our economy.

Trump has a long history of squandering inherited gifts, loosing daddy's money, bankruptcy following bank loans. Business failures.

Trump's systematic destruction of our nation, our government leadership and our lifestyle:

Donald Trump has now had more turnover in his Cabinet in the first two and a half years of his presidency than any of his five immediate predecessors did in their entire first terms.

According to data collected by the Brookings Institution, the resignation of Labor Secretary Alexander Acosta marks the ninth Cabinet member to leave the Trump Administration, one more than the previous high under President George H.W. Bush.

The others who have left: Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, Secretary of Veterans Affairs David Shulkin, Attorney General Jeff Sessions, Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis, Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke and Secretary of Homeland Security Kirstjen Nielsen as well as her predecessor, John Kelly, Mulvaney

Trump Has Now Had More Cabinet Turnover Than Predecessors | Time

The stock market: President Trump frequently points to the stock market as evidence of his
success, However, even by this measure, he lags behind President Obama.

Between President Trump’s Inauguration Day
and November 2019, the Dow Jones Average increased more than 40 percent, while over
the eight years of the Obama administration, the DJIA increased almost 150 percent – a
substantially greater pace.

Gross misjudgment': Experts say Trump's decision to disband pandemic team hindered coronavirus response

WASHINGTON—In May 2018, President Donald Trump’s biodefense preparedness adviser warned that a flu pandemic was the country’s No. 1 health security threat, and the U.S. was not prepared.

“We know that it cannot be stopped at the border,” Luciana Borio, director of medical and biodefense preparedness at the National Security Council, said at a symposium that day.

Borio left the Trump administration in 2019. Other high-level global health experts headed for the exits even earlier, after the White House dismantled the National Security Council’s global health security office.

The demise of that elite team is now under scrutiny as the Trump administration struggles to respond to the coronavirus pandemic.

“I just think it's a nasty question,” the president responded. “And when you say ‘me,' I didn't do it. ... I don't know anything about it.

Coronavirus: Did Trump's decision to nix pandemic team hinder response

Now like his numerous bankruptcies trump wants a do over.

Trump will get trillions of our tax payers dollars towards his debacle. Where could these tax payers dollars have gone if trump properly mitigated this crisis.

So i'm getting an unplanned, unpaid vacation, can't go anywhere and my reward, my stimulus- $1000.00 what a joke.

Yeah vote for a senile Joe Biden. From where he sits he sees 1954 all over again, waiting for a telephone operator to come on who has long since retired.

“Go a’ sliden with the ghost of Joe Biden,”

Mitch McConnell better get that stimulus bill passed today, if he doesn't then we're all going down the drain.

Of course I will vote proudly for sometimes poor delivery, but genuine Biden

Trump's biggest #1 mistake was giving his buddies a huge tax break while the economy was going good.. Gives little to no wiggle room when we slip into a recession..

His #2 thru #10,000 mistakes are mostly every time he opens his mouth. He's a serial liar and as this week has shown WS, and others, know he's a liar and have no confidence in him as a leader or a person. Every time he talked this week the Market crashed further.

What hindered coronavirus response was the Chinese government. They put out inaccurate information.

This fake news that Trump disbanded a pandemic team is nonsense, certain offices were consolidated. The fact that most western countries have outbreaks and most of Europe has more severe outbreaks shows that there really wasn’t any realistic options open to western governments to prevent an outbreak such as this. In fact the US took more action then most other western countries.

You act as though there’s someone on the democratic side who would’ve shut down the American economy for Chinese sniffles. That is lunacy

I have it from an unnamed but dependable and trustworthy source, Trump personally order the release of the Corona virus from a Chinese germ warfare lab for the sole purpose of creating financial chaos, so he could corner the markets on hand sanitizer and toilet paper.

“Go a’ sliden with the ghost of Joe Biden,”

I think it's hilarious that it seems the worst the Trump cultists have to call Biden is "senile", "old" and "ghost". Keep that up, maybe it'll work.

Blaming Trump for a Chinese virus. Haha, typical goofy lib BS.

Vote for the guy who was part of an administration that created a pandemic response team and briefed the current administration that a pandemic type flu like virus could sweep the world?

**** yea I'm voting for that guy. Heaven forbid we have someone who thinks and reads.

Personally, I think the worst is not real bright. The point, of course, is that Biden cannot keep up.

As to the OP, we are better off now than four years ago. The C-19 virus will pass, partly because of early and effective travel restrictions.

Like blaming Obama for the Bush recession or crediting Trump for economic growth he inherited from the Obama administration. By the way how's that tax cut working out?

The left is hoping and wishing for this virus to last well into the summer. If it ends in another month or two, their chances with Sleepy Joe are quite slim.

Do we not have highly educated epidemiologists? Blame China, now we rely on China to understand a virus. Well maybe your right, Our government no longer possessed an advanced pandemic response team due to trump's dismantling, defunding, restructuring or any other spin of your choice, the team was gone period.

So we had two choices due to trump's incompetence, our appointed lead boob for covid 19 Jared Kushner, who by the way consulted facebook for covid 19 advice. Or China. What a horrible conundrum

Meanwhile, the right is still in denial about reality.

Which right wing talk radio show did you get that one from?

Biden on his worst day is light years ahead of the worthless clown that Trumpsters are still cheering for.

these people are not interested in facts or logic or reason.

Another Trumpster whistling past the graveyard.

I can think of worse, but then I'm not a cultist. Try Gerry Ford redux on for size. Chevy Chase could play Biden on SNL and today they are both bald, but Chevy got fat.

Neither, apparantly are you. The story that the Trump team defunded the global pandemic team is true. They zeroed out their funding at that end of the last fiscal year. Back then, the White House was focused on the fact that they had just been caught trying to run a blackmail scheme against the Ukranian government. (Don’t bother. Trump already admitted it).

You claim that the US took more steps than the EU is false, which is predictable.

It is true that it was unlikely that we could have prevented the outbreak. But managing it was something the Trump team was not interested in until after the stock market took as crap a week ago.
