I didn't mean to interrupt your arguments, but you must admit that there's some truth in the comparison. I meant it to be funny, yes, but if you say there was nothing intelligent to it, recall that by most secular standards a good number of Republican leaders really are religious fanatics (think Constitution Restoration Act, say, or allegations of our president going after Saddam because God told him to). As representatives of the ruling party, Republicans have most of the say in what is done with nuclear weapons and when.
My statement was one of an honest fear; does this presentation of facts make it less ignorant? Either way, my apologies if I have insulted your intelligence.
