2 Virginia Parishes Vote to Leave Episcopal Church

Two large and influential Episcopal parishes in Virginia voted overwhelmingly today to leave the Episcopal Church and to affiliate with the Anglican Archbishop of Nigeria, a leader in a church-wide fight against homosexuality.

Episcopalians Are Reaching Point of Revolt (December 17, 2006)Five smaller churches in Virginia also announced today that they had voted to secede, joining four others that already left and three more that are expected to announce their decisions soon. Some affiliated with archbishops in Uganda and other parts of Africa.

Am I the only one who thinks that internal religious bickering sounds an awful lot like listening to two kids argue over whether Gandalf could beat Dumbledore in a fight?

You're Catholic, so what do you care?

Dumbledore would totally wipe the floor with Jesus.

I dunno about that...

Dumbledore has all those fire spells, but Jesus has eternal damnation as a weapon. Besides, Jesus can come back to life. It remains to be seen if Dumbledore can do that.

Now Gandalf vs. Jesus...There would be a real battle. No matter how many times they killed each other, it'd just be a draw.

Merlin could pwn them all though. I would say the hierarchy is Merlin > Jesus > Gandalf > Dumbledore
