100+yrs of DEMS&REPS! Time to change!!

We need more parties, neither do nor can represent any one person's beliefs without truly, causing people to have to "partisan-ize" and conform to a groups point of view of one of the two sides to belong anywhere. Which is kind of like brain washing, and probably not good.

But as mnpollock might be try to suggest, our political process would have to be reformed in order to have more parties.

Having three major parties won't last for long under our current system. The two weaker parties would want to join together to beat the strongest one, and so we're left again with a 2-party system.

Why not have many small parties that govern in coalitions like they do in other countries?

Because we don't have proportional representation like the other countries.

Probably true.

Yes Sir I agree. We need to stop saying nay it won't work. What if the guy who made the wheel said naw it won't work and didn't try. Lack of effort is worse than failure. We must do this to protect what is left of our freedoms and for our children. No Child Left Behind, is the military recruiters new moto. Our struggle has become a "class struggle" not just one race.
It seems that this present government is all about who has the money.
That is one of the things we revolted against the king for in the first place.
I don't know why modern business doesn't realize that the more people with more money the more money they stand to make. Now we have 20% of the people wth 80% of the money, that's nothing but a corporate monarchy. Check the bloodlines of the major corporations in the USA.
Dubya's grandpappy made his millions being one of Hitler's Us bankers that helped him finance the building of his war machine. Dubya went to an Ivy league school on the interest from that money, now doesn't that make you feel all partiotic and emotional and stuff. Surely, George Sr couldn't afford that school on a lowly secret service agents salary and you know by hearing him speak that he didn't get a scholarship.
Yes we need to flush the toilet that Wash DC has become and start over. Hit the reset button, control - alt - delete, something, pull the main breaker, yeah that's the ticket. KATT:idea:

Maybe we could get three parties with platforms different enough so they don't fully ally, but only on certain issues.

The first one to go crazy in the political think tank :D

Yes, reform is needed, we can make it happen if we just communicate with each other. Not using the latest sound bites from FOX news either. Get the root facts surrounding the issue(s) at hand.
A true 1/3 party can make a real difference if it can make the other 2 come out on the floor and really debate the issues not just talk about debating. True reform will come when we can get the majority out of any one parties side. We will also have to break up the corporate media. But that will only happen when the corporate monopoly is taken from Wash DC. This won't happen if we all want to be president. That is why I said that most of the "other parties" have to merge to get anywhere in Wash DC. Just because you think your party has a catchier name doesn't make it better. It has to be all enclusive not having a party religion. There is common ground we can meet on and work from there. We must put aside our ego/pride and take off the team jersey. America needs our help now. Our future is more important than our ego.

Yes! We could basicly boycott them out of business. Good idea.
