100 Liberal Philanthropies Prepare to Push Back Against Trump Crackdown

Over 100 largely liberal philanthropies, including those that are being targeted by the Trump administration as part of an expected crackdown after the killing of Charlie Kirk, are banding together to try and stave off attacks on the nonprofit sector.

The institutions, including the Ford Foundation and George Soros’s Open Society Foundations, on Wednesday pushed out an open letter that forcefully defended the philanthropy sector, even as its list of signers doubled as a list of the types of left-leaning charities that President Trump may target. The statement condemned political violence and any possible retribution.

I don't understand why they are upset, Trump just doing what Obama's IRS did to conservative groups. Was that wrong?

Actually not. The IRS under Obama looked for not for profit 501c organizations that had political names and didn’t look at ideology. It just so happened that almost all the organizations were conservative.

In January 2014, James Comey, who at the time was the FBI director, told Fox News that its investigation had found no evidence so far warranting the filing of federal criminal charges in connection with the controversy, as it had not found any evidence of "enemy hunting", and that the investigation continued. LOL. They banded together to give Kamala Harris 1.5 billion dollars in a losing cause. They've already been banded together so this doesn't change anything. However, I heard Joe is desperately needing money to fund his bookmobile. Will they donate to that?
