I have read multiple articles on this story.

does anyone else feel like the media is going out of its way NOT to mention these guys were muslem?

they do list the names, which is proof enough.....and I have seen a couple of references to al queda......but for the most part......the media is intentionally NOT mentioning they are muslem, or islamic.

I read the list of names and I don't see how anyone would not know they were Muslim. However, does it matter? Canada stopped them without invading anyone. And our invading Iraq did not stop them from trying in Canada. Seems Canada is showing the way here.

what matters is the medias intentionally not mentioning it. you are the one that claimed in another thread that the media does a terrific job reporting the news accurately.

The adult suspects from Toronto are Chand, alias Abdul Shakur, 25; Fahim Ahmad, 21; Jahmaal James, 23; and Asin Mohamed Durrani, 19. Those from Mississauga are Ghany; Abdelhaleen; Zakaria Amara, 20; Asad Ansari, 21; Saad Khalid, 19; and Qayyum Abdul Jamal, 43.

I know....they are a bunch of Jewish boys.

Police said the suspects had trained together outside Toronto. Although an intelligence official, Luc Portelance, said the group members were "adherents of a virulent ideology inspired by al-Qaeda", police acknowledged they had no evidence of a direct link to the terrorist group.

and we all know its mostly baptists and catholics that adhere to that virulent ideology dont we bigdog??? LOL

again, It just seems to me like the media is avoiding saying these guys are muslem. maybe that will change with time.

Seems like these guys had more in mind than just blowing up a few things. They wanted to behead politicians, storm Parliament, and take over media outlets.

They already had the stuff to do the blowing up. Maybe this will make Canada look harder at there lax immigration laws.

I realize this is simply my opinion and I dont have any proof the media is intentionally not telling us that information (admitting its only an opinion is something you might want to try sometime) but I just find it odd that so far, I havent read anywhere that these guys were islamic nutjobs.

That's one way to look at it. A more accurate way to look at it is to acknowledge that Canada was against the war in Iraq, yet Islamic terrorist still targetted Canada. What does that tell you? I wonder if you know about an Iranian-born Canadian citizen and journalist, 'Zahra Kazemi.' Iran knows who she was even as they beat her to death in Iran as a powerless Canada just complained and watched. Canadians may not like it, but the unmistakable lesson for Canada is that, when it defected from the great Anglolateral alliance that has defended freedom for almost a century, it lost its influence, its authority and the weight of collective power. Now they are chasing Islamic terrorists down in their country, despite their outspoken criticisms of the Iraq war.

While Canada has done a great job in catching terrorist on their soil, no doubt a product of the international anti-terrorist spy network (I wonder what the full story of "illegal" wire tapping is), Canada is showing nothing except how to learn a lesson. Spain, England, France, Italy, India, and Indonesia are other countries that have captured Islamic terrorists on their soil since 9/11. Radical Islam does not care for appeasments. It sees such things as weakness to be exploited. It also does not care that a country will allow it to flourish for fear of antagonizing it. If the country is not Islamic, it is there enemy.
