(CNN) -- Fueled by hot, dry conditions, a wildfire near Flagstaff in northern Arizona had grown to 10,000 acres by Tuesday morning, and it was only 10 percent contained, officials said.
CNN meteorologist Sean Morris forecasts gusty winds will hamper firefighting efforts Tuesday before subsiding overnight and calming on Wednesday morning.
Emergency Operations Center spokeswoman Stephanie Smith said the Schultz fire was started by an abandoned campfire. Officials are asking the public to come forward with any information about how the blaze started.
As flames ripped quickly through Ponderosa pine, conifer, pinyon and juniper trees, they caught some locals off guard.

God did this to punish Arizona because it is racist.

Don't take that statement seriously, or take it as seriously as you would Pat Robertson. Just had to get that crack in there, because I cannot stand the hack.

Seriously, though, it's going to be a tough year for fires, and drought is predicted in the Southwest United States. For those living there, be careful with matches, cigarettes, and other materials that could start one.

BTW.....

This fire was started by a campfire that was not completely put out properly.

Yup, that makes sense, but whoever left the fire didn't have a lot of that, did he?

Get ready for the coming White House moratorium on all camp fires.

Living in California, I am intimately familiar with wildfires. I hope they get it under control soon

And get ready for people who will see this as yet another way to bitch about Obama.

lol, I was being sarcastic, and hopefully from my posts you would know by now that there are things I openly support the President on.
